    Pricey Book Question

I would not base my purchasing on such a claim, but you are certainly entitled to this opinion. No need, I suppose, to call him cheap; frugal perhaps? However, I agree with you. It is rather odd that one would be upset that the parts are not sold seperate from the whole. This is absolutely...

Things I dislike about Dragon Mag.

These are not mutually exclusive as you appear to think that they are (or that I am not explaining clearly enough). I have indicated that I have found adventure ideas on candy wrappers. This means that the candy wrapper was a useful item in my roleplaying. However, an article discussing the...

Things I dislike about Dragon Mag.

My aren't you the pithy one. :) I understand and I agree -- I have gotten adventure ideas from fantasy fiction. I have also gotten adventure ideas from newspaper articles, movies, candy wrappers, old black and white photos, television shows, songs and a plethora of other things I think do not...

Things I dislike about Dragon Mag.

Yep. OK. OK. Sure. And? Without a gaming context? No. Without a gaming context? No. OK. So, because there are computer games, would programming articles belong in DRAGON? Since there are books involved, would articles on Book Binding belong in DRAGON? How about articles on drawing comics? I...

Greyhawk being dumped as the core setting in 3.5

I voted to get rid of it. No because I dislike it, but because D&D should be without a default for a background. Give Greyhawk a series of books much like FRCS...

Things I dislike about Dragon Mag.

Nope, but I really think that is beside the point. Agreed. I disagree. This is not a fiction magazine. This is a gaming magazine. So unless the fiction is being shown within the context of gaming, it does not belong in a gaming magazine. Then give the context of how this can be used in a gaming...

    Inequality of Skills

"Be carefull," said the wise and aged sage as he gently stroked his cheek. "for down that path lies GURPS and the dark side..." In all honesty, I love skill-based systems. GURPS is a long-time favorite of mine for many styles of play. But you have not gotten into a real RPG argument until you...

    [Poll] Character Age/Lifespan

I voted yes -- plus I borrow a bit from GURPS and I have a set of tables for aging rolls as the character gets older and older. The trable can cause the loss of stats, skills, and even levels.

    Alignment Restrictions in 3.5

Holy Warrior (to me) equates to being disciplined; which in turn equates to Law (a belief in order and structure).

DRAGON MAGAZINE: What would you do?

And niehter would I. Although I have to admit that the idea sounds rather funny... Might make for a cool April Fool's issue. ;) But, I would give priority to multi-issue articles: so if I do an article on London (for example) and want to cover it over four eras over four issues, this would take...

The Monk: What changes would you like to see?

I would like to see them removed from the core rules. They work well in an oriental setting, but feel very, very out of place in a typical D&D setting.

DRAGON MAGAZINE: What would you do?

An adventure that were removable from the magazine is an example -- sure, this is what Dungeon is for -- but in Dragon, think of it this way: Back in the first few mags after the 3e release, remember the Dwarves issue? Good. Now, think how handy it would have been to have the "class...

    Alignment Restrictions in 3.5

Class by class, here is how I see it: Barbarian: none [1] Cleric: restrictions based on religion only Druid: as per cleric Fighter: none Monk: none [2] Paladin: Lawful only [1] Ranger: none [1] Rogue: none Socerer: none [3] Wizard: none [3] [1] Paladins, Rangers and BArbarians are all...

What if any changes in alignment restrictions would you like to see in 3.5?

I think it was meant to correct the "only able to choose one answer" delima. It was not fixed, however.
