I suspect that wizards have spells that counter most Muggle weapons. It's the most obvious reason I can think of as to why no one uses muggle weapons (I don't really buy that they are entirely unwilling to use Muggle technology: at the least, it appears they use Muggle plumbing).

Eh, perhaps you have to think the words very clearly and slowly. A bit weak, perhaps, but its a viable explanation.

"Aveda Kavada" takes significently longer to say than "stupefy," especially as the incantations require that you speak them clearly and relatively slowly. In a fight, those fractions of a second are significent.

Wizards is still supporting it, so it's proably doing at least decently. I greatly enjoy Eberron. It took me a while to get used to the magic=tecnology system Eberron uses, but beyond that there's a huge amount of possiblity for really cool adventures. Most of the things I initially disliked...

Just use the halaberd stats and ignore the tripping abilitiest given by the hook and the ability to set it against a charge.

I don't exactly disagree with you, but the books have the audience they do for a reason. Rowling managed to create books with all the sophistication of an excellent adult novel that was accesible to beggining readers.

Not really. She's a quicker learner than Harry, but he has more raw power. As the series progreses, the balence of power shifts decidedly towords Harry, at least in combat magic. Part of this is explained later in the series, but I think part of it is that British schools tend to leave...

If you want to do in-organic modeling (space ships and the like) I strongly reccomend DOGA. Its free as long as you don't want to do animations, its obsenely easy to learn, and it'll get pretty good results. It's truly pathetic at anything even vaguely organic though, which is why I'm trying to...

I was rathr unimpressed. The acting seemed weak, the soundtrack wierd given the subject matter, and the scene selection uninspired. I'm still looking forward to the movie, though.
