I feat should NEVER replace the need to spend your stat build points wisely. Taking 1 feat to take a -1 or 0 bonus to hit and damage to a +4 or +5 is way to powerful.

I always felt that Melee Training should have been just the add to hit and never and add to damage from the get go.

Any feat that is a main stay on the Charop boards and is a must take for the majority of the builds there needed to be nerfed for that reason alone.

My sons Battlemind has worked just fine and has not taken the Melee Training feat and has no desire to do so. We also avoid the Charop boards.

I wouldnt talk about playing it online in the open like this. It is only supposed to be played in a retail location.

Pawel have you tried checking out the pregen characters they made for DDXP the Free RPG gameday and the D&D Encounters sessions? They have several weapons being used. You can do the math backwards to figure out the proficiency etc.

If you look at the Player's Handbook Races: Tieflings book it is roughly the same size as the hardback books but is soft bound instead of hard bound. This is what we will see with the other Trade Paperback books. Here is a definition of Trade Paperback

The Ranger MC allows you to get the Quarry damage possibly twice from its use. Since the Quarry only lasts until the end of your next turn. You would need to hit once 1st turn and once 2nd turn to get to deal that damage. After that its gone.

I think you are correct but have it backwards. The Heroes of books will replace the printing of the PHBS since they are released in march. The Powers books could easily still be printed and sold in October as they are now as a supplement to the Heroes books

Its more like 6 to 8 hps difference when you look at a build with a 20 stat. LIke a 20 Dex Monk etc

I despise those 2 backgrounds and despise that they are allowed in LFR.

The Essentials line does not indicate this but from what we have seen I would think that PHB's and DMG's are dead for now. With the Shadow Power Source book coming out in March when the PHB 4 would normally come out I think this is how we will see Power sources released instead of in PHB's
