We were down from 3 full tables to 2 full tables this previous week. But it is spring break around here so people are gone. We will be back to 3 tables at our store next week. And with summer coming I suspect we might see an increase of players as people have more time on their hands.

If your DM allows for backgrounds that is a good way to get access to train other skills. And I have seen a ton of Slayers made with Dex based races and using Melee Training Dex. I have even seen an Eladrin and a Githzerai Slayer multiclassed Swordmage to get access to Intelligent Blademaster.

I have read that section several times but it is plainly obvious when reading any of the Monster Manuals and Monster write ups that you dont run a Solo alone as part of an encounter without other creatures or terrain and traps etc. That is why the MM's and Monster write ups give sample encounters.
