    Githzerai Ninja

While I find the ninja flavorful, their sudden strike ability is of limited use. I prefer good ol' rogues myself for the sneaky folk, or sword sages if that is an option. As a ninja, make sure to make judicious use of your Ghost Step ability, as that and items of invisibility are likely to be...

    Turning the Undead

Does Strike of Perfect Clarity multiply on a crit?

Nope. It says in the manuevers section (where is describes activating them and such) that extra damage from strikes isn't multiplied. Edit: I'm to my books now, the relevant text is on page 43, uppermost left paragraph.

    Morphing Weapon Ability?

Is there a morphing weapon ability out there somewhere? I'm not sure of the name (it might be morphing or not) but I remember it being able to change a weapon from a battle axe to a greatsword for example.

    Item to increase UMD?

It could follow those guidelines. I don't remember any WOTC items granting a bonus to UMD off the top of my head, but that doesn't mean they don't exist. UMD can be a pretty powerful skill, so I'd be wary about introducing items that grant a significant bonus to it in my games. I find the...

Sorcerer: want fiery burst-feat at 3rd Level

They qualify for the feat at level 4 but, house rules aside, have no way of actually picking the feat up until level 6.

Self = Ally? Leading the Charge (TOB)

Does the stance "Leading the Charge" (White Raven, page 90ish?) from TOB allow you to grant the bonus charge damage to yourself? I don't have my book here, but I believe the text goes something like: ~All allies who can hear you during battle gain....~. Any ideas?

    Spear size damage

Looks like an oversight to me.I'd give him the 2d6 one, he's definitely using it 2 handed with the +9 to dmg and 22 str.

    Savage Species is Broken?

Let's see here. Tauric adds all of the abilities of the base creature to the mental stats and skills/feats of the humanoid. So you are basically a medium scorpian with 2 monstrous humanoid hitdice (d8's, full BAB, good fort and will). So: +2? Str +4 Con +4 Natural Armor 2 Claw attacks (abeit...

    Black Puddings and Item Damage

Save of be destoyed. It's nasty stuff. Don't get in melee with these guys if you can help it. If the black pudding hits Mr. Bob T. Fighter, he has to make a reflex save on the behalf of his armor or it is going to be a melted pile of gunk. No hardness protects against the extraordinary special...

    True strike

I'll chime in with the chorus, definitely not a critical threat. Critical threats only occur because of the roll of the dice, not any subsequent modifiers.

    Warblade and Swordsage: Overpowered?

    Warblade and Swordsage: Overpowered?

Also Nail, adressing your original point. I don't get to play much, but the next time I do I'm going to do everything short of gift wrapping my left hand and giving it to the DM to be able to play a Warblade or Sword Sage. Not because I seek to dominate in combat, but, as had been said many...

    Warblade and Swordsage: Overpowered?

Thinking of manuevers, I seem to remember the warblade having some pretty powerful stuff, such as full attack at the end of a charge, rerolling attacks, Or being able to void some heavy hits. How do you think the actual manuever selection plays into the comparison of warblade and fighter? Nail...

    Warblade and Swordsage: Overpowered?

I'm with you somewhat here. I think that one of the main problems is the lack of synergy between a lot of the feats, though I don't think this would be an issue unless core only or very high level. At 10th level a fighter really doesn't look half bad on second look. 10th Level Fighter could...

    Warblade and Swordsage: Overpowered?

I think cool is pretty subjective. To me, a fighter will never be as cool as, say, even a barbarian. The same goes for equally fun. Fun depends on the player. I have more fun playing spellcasters that melee combatants as I have more options in combat. I have no interest playing a fighter, and...

Savage Tide Sundays - Cincinnati OH/Ft. Mitchell KY (Need 2 more players)

Hello there. It has been a few months, but are you still looking for more players? I'm 20, live in Cincinnat, and I'm looking for a game. I'm attending U.C myself, but sunday afternoons wouldn't interfere with anything on my part. My email is cannadpa(at)email.uc.edu. Where (at) should be @ of...

    Warblade and Swordsage: Overpowered?

That is my reasoning behind introducing the Warblade. It's what I want out of a tank. For my groups, everyone wants to play anything but the main combatant. The warblade breathed new life into the role for us.

    Warblade and Swordsage: Overpowered?

I feel that the Sword Sage and Warblade are powerful warriors. I'm not sure how much stronger they are than their equivilants, but I like them much more as a DM. In my campaigns I use the suggested variant unarmed swordsage in place of monks, and the warblade in addition to fighters. Sword Sages...
