I could see it going either way. At +3000 gold its a nice convience, and not terribly costly. As a +1 enhancement it would end up costing a little more eventually, but I don't really think it merrits the cost. It is a useful enhancement, but I don't think it would come up terribly often.

So you are 9th level and everyone else is 14th+? :( It's not as big of a problem as a level 1 character going into a level 6 came, but I can see where dieing comes in. I don't really think it is your character concept that is getting you killed. Trying to be a front line fighting at level 9...

Libris Mortis has an item, Nightstick (a rod) which grants the owner 4 extra turn attempts a day. It cost 7500 gold. Edit: I agree with that price if we're dealing with the core rules.

If your really worried about it being abused, take it away. I don't see healing as a vital part of the polymoprh ability.

Whenever someone is unhappy with their stats, it makes me think of a druid. Wildshaping negates the need for good physical attributes. But your DM shot down clerics, so he'll probably shoot down druids to.

I don't think Kung Fu Genius will cause any problems. As to a wizard taking levels of monk...eww. :) Anything that slows down your caster level progression is very very bad.

I'd let him cast spells prior to being initiated to a new diety. Obviously house rule territory, but I'd just say he's developed enough of a knack for his lower level spells that he doesn't need a dieties direct approval to cast them. I also might take away any spell that required a divine...
