    Adventure:-- LPNN (Manzanita Judging)

Vargo will risk his hide and try to move into melee, taking the aid another action to give any particular individual a +2 to his to-hit roll, or if possible, to his damage roll instead. Huln will go for the standard attack+ free trip if he can get it.

    Adventure:-- LPNN (Manzanita Judging)

Lighting sources - place multiple torches on the ground near the entrances, at least that's what I suggest. Vargo is in the right place, would like to keep Huln under cover. Suggested tactic, mob the "big boss" and stomp him into the ground, as per my earlier suggestion.

(OOC: Well, <eriksgrandmaviolation>. Still, we have to break some eggs to get this rolling... Why not the ones with the good fort saves? )

    Adventure:-- LPNN (Manzanita Judging)

Vargo has a brief internal monologue with himself. It is, after all, a habit of the wise. Situation: Two mobile snipers, relatively immune to most of our attacks. Their main advantage is being able to move away from us without us being able to do anything back. However, since they are both...

    Adventure:-- LPNN (Manzanita Judging)

If anybody goes chasing after a rat, Vargo tries to keep up and sends Huln on ahead on "guard" of the person running ahead. OOC: The Guard trick means that Huln will attack anybody who attacks the person he is guarding; therefore if the wererat tries to fight back instead of escaping, Huln will...

"Anybody got an extra torch or lantern? I don't want to go tripping over myself in the dark."

    Adventure:-- LPNN (Manzanita Judging)

"How about this: We look for a place in a natural defilade - some kind of valley or knoll. Those of us without night vision set up in the defilade, and start a fire. Those of us who can see at night in the dark set up watch posts at a reasonable distance from the fire, for the purpose of...

    Adventure:-- LPNN (Manzanita Judging)

"I, too, think chasing them is a bad idea. We should find a defensible position, do without the fire for the night, and try to avoid them as much as possible." Vargo puts his survival skills to the test, looking for a small outcropping of sorts, or even better an abandoned cave, something that...

D20 Apocalypse: Other Ways to End the World?

There's also the good 'ol Vingean singularity. A hyperintelligence develops, lays waste to the world in some weird way, and then transcends reality as we know it, leaving behind the shattered remains of civilization. Or, portions of itself may be scattered around, still...

    Adventure:-- LPNN (Manzanita Judging)

OOC: I will be AFK for the rest of the day, and possibly most of tomorrow - if I get two "drop its", go ahead and drop it, and proceed with the game. Vargo will cast magic fang on Huln, then get Huln to attack and Imp. Trip the ratmen. If it comes down to one rat left, he'll try to move into...

    Adventure:-- LPNN (Manzanita Judging)

OOC: I'm watching, just waiting for any objections. If we get a good 3/4th of the crew not saying anything, then I'll drop it.

    Adventure:-- LPNN (Manzanita Judging)

Vargo will stand up and follow Almayce, trying to keep the combat between himself and the rats. If he gets a chance during round 5, he'll cast Magic Fang on Huln. If the rats are all down, Vargo will warn everybody, then drop the Entanglement unless anybody says not to.
  13. V

    Adventure:-- LPNN (Manzanita Judging)

OOC: Yep, not too good right now. Vargo nods in grim understanding at Almayce. Looking at Huln, he points at the dire rats and says "Huln, kill!"

    Adventure:-- LPNN (Manzanita Judging)

Vargo, Human Druid Vargo will move up behind the rest of the crew, but not get in melee range; if somebody falls, he will stabilize them using Cure Minor Wounds, then untrained heal checks.

    Adventure:-- LPNN (Manzanita Judging)

Vargo yells out "Where are they, and how far out?" while proning himself. If he gets multiple confirmations of location, both in the same area, he drops an entangle (DC:15 Reflex) on their location. He has Huln prone himself behind him as well, free action due to animal companion status...

Surviving (and being useful) until Wildshape?

Nope. I'm just not familiar with the druid - this is my first time playing one.

    Sharn: Beneath The Towers IC

"Well, whatever is down there knows we're up here. The sooner we move in, the less likely an alert goes off. Let's secure the rope and get down there." (OOC: Gonna be an insane week, not a lot of time for posting. Will be back to normal hopefully around middle of next week)

Surviving (and being useful) until Wildshape?

So I'm running this Druid over in the Living ENWorld game. As you'll note, he's VERY lacking in the physical department, and makes up for it in smarts. I've seen the occasional "high level player cripples physical stats, then spends entire life wildshaped into something with serious bonuses,"...

    DMG II -- In my hands . . .

Going WAAAAAY off topic here, this would actually be a better example of superior tactics. If I remember the scene in question, Sanjuro never actually fought more than 2-3 warriors at the same time.
