May I ask why a Svirfneblin? I mean, I LOVE them, and if I ever have this happen will do the same, but why did you choose one?

It also talks about shields under sunder. In addition, many have house ruled you can use sunder to attack other things, such as head bands, gloves etc.

Is it covered in the rules? I dont know, but I would make them do a standard action to Toss it, and they would need to do a ranged touch attack against AC 10 (not hard for higher level folk, but possibly for lower levels). Their is a table early in the book which lists the High Elf as ECL 1, but the table in the back lists it as ECL 0. I'd go by the list at the end. I imagine this is something that will be fixed by the errata, as well as a few other errors.

I'm not freaked out by it, but its not my cup of tea. Durring table gaming, I soemtimes get up to act something out (especailly as a DM), but I couldn't do it for more than a couple seconds.

Re: Also, what about wizards? No, casting a spell is a standard action at the least (unless you ues the quicken spell metamagic feat). A wizard with multiple attacks can attack... multiple times.

They didn't do every creature in Appendix 1. They're examples and guidlines on how to do it. If you really want it done, you could try and come up with a level break down for dragons.

When I DM, I just houserule it to identify the complete item. Its easier and means less work for me. If they spend the time and money to find out what the item is, I can let them do the paper work. It makes them happy cause they know what it is, and me so that I can devote time and energy on...

Just curious, what led you to think another caster level lower than 17 could make a pearl of power. I always thought you had to have at least the listed caster level from the DMG to make such an item..

Deities and Demigods and Savage Species have tables. IIRC the DMG covers it somewhere Edit: Its on page 162 of the DMG
