    D&D inspired (fake) movie titles...

Today (today) I consider myself (myself) the luckiest demihuman (demihuman) on the Astral Plane (plane)!

What is the Average Result of 2d20, Drop the Lowest.

Just a question... is it a Troll to ask a Statistics question on a D&D board? Yes... yes it is. QED

Just a question... is it a Troll to ask a Statistics question on a D&D board? The grade for this thread is B+. Extra Credit available for actually building the formula in MiniTab and posting it ;)

Experiences with Psionics in 3rd (and 3.5) Edition

I've played a low to mid level Psion, up to 10th, and while it's pretty powerful, it's not a huge jump powerwise over a sorcerer. The PrC's based off of the Psionics books however, are boring and entirely useless, but that's another thread. Stick with the base classes, ignore the PrC's.

    Story hour recommendations

I'm a big fan of the stuff by Lazybones. The current one is "Doomed Bastards". It's entertaining, and the characters are... by and large... Both Doomed, and Bastards. I heart Dar.

    New Baby & Gaming

Thanks everybody! I do actually feel a little better about my chance to sit at the gaming table sometime before the end of time. :)

    New Baby & Gaming

Naturally little Eleanor rolled an 18 for her Charisma... I'm kinda curious though, for all of you parents out there... How long was it before you were able to sit down at the gaming table? One of the players in my game joked that it would be the last time they would see me behind the screen...

    Dwight D. Eisenhower on DM'ing

Euripides... I'm not sure if he was a good GM or not, but I think he understood the relationships between player and GM when he said "Authority is never without hate."

You Don't Talk Shop at the Dinner Table

I made a mistake of TELLING another player that his political views were immature and ridiculous, instead of just thinking it. The guy is a black belt in Tae Kwon Do... but you don't play D&D as long as I have, and not learn a thing or two about bravery.

    Help a newbie out please!

I know that your handle is Maine-iac, but you have to realize that there are a lot more people in Portland, Oregon than there are in the entire state of Maine. I would just make it abundantly clear in the first paragraph that you're looking for people in Maine. That said? I would love it if...

Funniest Rod of Wonder story..... ever.

Obviously you should have this made into an enchanted sombrero with phrase activation. "Engalé Engalé Yeee-Haaaaw!" Isn't that Andele? Speedy Gonzales makes me laugh. Somehow cartoon characters from a period before Political Correctness are just funnier.

Funniest Rod of Wonder story..... ever.

Man, I want to play that character... Get yourself a Diminuative Awakened Animal Cohort... add a couple of class levels in something odd like Wilder, or Lurk. Now imagine Stuart Little casting Fireball, whilst Snowball is blasting away with Psychic Crush or something cheesy like that. Man, I...

    How do LG characters intimidate

Please gods... absolve me for my sins as I cut tiny pieces of your enemy's flesh from its wretched bones. LG doesn't mean you can't do some seriously whacked out stuff... You can, you just have the ability to apologize and really mean it. You want ethics? Read Immanuel Kant How many...

The Doomed Bastards: Reckoning (story complete)

Oof... I think Dar's definately not going to like that. You know what sets you apart from the pack LB? It's your gleeful disregard for the well-being of your characters. The urge to have the party make it in time... Cavalry coming over the hill in the nick of time has to be kind of hard to...
