What has been your geekiest moment?

I had a pretty brilliant geek moment a couple of weeks ago. In one of our games, I'm playing a tiny Dark Fey Dragon. The character has the hide in plain sight ability. I described how he came about and kinda disappeared from view "Kinda like a Romulan Warbird, about to blast the crap out...

Character Death and The Rest of the Night

Although in retrospect, maybe Marcie could have rolled a saving throw, or played an Orc bandit or something... Dark Dungeon I rarely advocate that players go home to hang themselves after losing a character.

Character Death and The Rest of the Night

This happened in our last game session. Our resident power gamer took over running the BBEG. Sweet Baby Jebus... It was nearly a TPK. My advice is get the dead guy rolling up a new character pronto. :)

Pathfinder 1E Thank you Paizo/WotC! Adventure Path saved my game!

We're running the two Adventure path series now. Shackled City as our Primary, and Age of Worms as our alt.game when our primary GM wants to step out from behind the screen. So far so good. :)

Help me freak out my players!

Ok... I actually got goosebumps reading that. Talk about clock-watching.... it would get to be about 20 til 9 and my character would be a little stressed.

I'm the old dog in the group at 38, most everybody else is late 20's early 30's. Eberron is available, we have a warforged in the group now. As far as the breakdown... I only really know the build of my own character. The others are a Warforged Wilder (?)/Fighter and a Werebear Monk/Ranger...

    Portland/Clackamas Game seeks one more

Our group is short 1 player. Is there a Race/Class/Template that you've ever wanted to play, but didn't have the right circumstance? We're currently running a mutant Eber-hawk campaign through the Shackled City adventure path. Character creation is wide open. I wouldn't call it powergaming...

They'd revoke my D&D gamer license if they knew....

I love Forgotten Realms, nonplussed by Greyhawk. I hate Homebrews. I'm pretty fond of Gestalt rules :)

I'm not actually that bad of a writer... I sliced the heck out of a short paper I wrote for my Roman Daily Life class. I have a PDF of the document if you want it.

    Pregnancy rate

In his article Natural Fertility and Family Limitation in Roman Marriage, Bruce Frier discusses the attempt to link modern statistical analysis of rates of fertility in several contemporary and near-contemporary cultures to that of expected fertility rates in Roman Egypt. Frier, using modern...

    Political Hierarchy of Medieval Kingdoms

If we get a clearer idea of your basic plot I bet the board can find you a good fit. The farther you are from Rome in time, the more complex the manorial system would become. In Rome, the Catholic Church emerged after a long and bitter struggle with the Lombards to BARELY hold Rome and the...
