When I bother to cruise the Wizards boards I often see "we need more adventures" threads started and posted to by people with no idea that third-party published D&D compatible adventures even exist (I make sure to educate them). And these are people tuned in enough to be on the WotC boards (no...
Wow, talk about living parallel lives. I'm a year older than you and ended my 15-year marriage over two years ago for similar reasons. While I *am* looking for a life companion, I really enjoy living on my own and am in no hurry to find someone.
The end of a marriage sends ripples throughout...
Been a member since I had the disposable income to do so. This is the best community experience in gaming. I'm happy to support it and will continue to do so.

Both my groups rotate DMs. We don't have a set schedule, though. The person DMing takes a guess at how many sessions the current adventure will last and we try to have an idea of who will DM next and what level the PCs will be. The last adventure took about eight or ten sessions to complete and...
I don't know if I qualify, but I'm around. I'm posting less and skimming more. It seems like I have less free time, but I couldn't put my finger on any specific reason why. Work has kept me as busy as ever, and this week is going to be even worse because of a quarterly report I do for the...
I've heard so many industry people state this (and none in the industry refute it) that I'm willing to bet "adventures don't sell" is more fact than belief. The amount of work that goes into an adventure simply brings more profit if it is directed at a supplement instead. If I had to guess, I'd...
Well, given that this thread has had well over 500 views, I'd say there are plenty of people interested in it. I apologize in advance if this answer wasn't passive-aggressive enough. ;)

Oh, and to Sigdel, how about asking a couple of friends whose opinions, honesty and sincerity you trust, if they think you'd look better with short hair, or whether it doesn't matter.
Maybe because people are allowed to react in different ways to the same advice? Just because the original poster decided to follow it doesn't automatically mean it was good advice, or that it was given in the best way. I hope whatever Raven Wintervale decides to do works out well, and improves...
Or you could try to set an example of how people could behave at their best and see if everyone follows it and politics ends up taking a back seat to everyone being positive and helpful. Joining the politics just, IME, leads to more politics, backstabbing, sarcasm and cynicism. Set the example...
I'll just echo what many others have said, but with the words of Theodor Seuss Geisel:
"Be who you are and say what you feel 'cause people who mind don't matter and people who matter don't mind."

My custom user title used to be "Registered Elder" which I thought was interesting and close enough to the default "Registered User" that it might cause someone to do a double-take. I only changed it after Dirigible made me. ;)

My thoughts and best wishes are with you DungeonmasterCal. Better days are ahead. Try to keep a good attitude.
