    The gosh darn Dervish delimma

All true. But if the cleric is focused away from fighting, there really isn't much room for complaint that the Dervish is a combat scene-stealer. If the dervish is the only character built around combat, he shouldn't feel guilty, or be made to feel guilty, for being good at it.

    The gosh darn Dervish delimma

The 12th-level cleric can't melee? Even if the cleric isn't using his spells to buff himself up, he should be able to adequately help out in combat.

    Need help creatinng cheap golems

I'll third the recommendation for Golemcraft 101. This happened to be the first Dog Soul Publishing product I purchased, and it helped to convince me of what an underrated publisher they are. Lots and lots of golemy goodness for $3.

Complete listing for all pre-3e DnD products?

The Master ESD Schedule PDF on this page is a pretty good list of pre-3E products as well.

How many people do you have on ignore? (No names!)

Yeah, it was a blast reading through the list.

    Any other Nascar fans here?

I don't know, racing seems too much like a sport for my tastes. ( :p j/k) I follow NASCAR pretty closely, though my first love in racing is Formula 1. I missed Richmond last night because it was Game Night, and I was interested to see the results. Of the group of drivers that was on the...

How Much Does Attending GenCon Cost?

That's why I play exclusively in EN World games. I played in four games this year (and asked kiznit to take my place in a fifth), and they ALL ROCKED ON TOAST! Playing games with EN Worlders is like getting together with friends that you only see once or twice a year, but that you keep in touch...

Looking for a DM Monster Tool

Monster 3.5 by Scott Metzger (available from this page) will output stat blocks which could be printed from your browser or tossed into a word processing program and printed onto cards. It's not one-click automatic, but it's free.

I find this link very helpful when I want to perform any special formatting. I bookmarked it long ago and return to it often.

    Gen Con Reports?

On getting into EN World games: it also doesn't hurt to just show up for them. Stuff happens, plans change, people catch the Con Crud, get hungover, etc. Two of the four EN World games I was in this year had open seats when they started. A third game had an open seat when I had to bow out (thank...

    TBR: Sound off

And a special hat's off to all our first time TBRs, and even to the two who were strip club virgins! And we can't forget the honors which must be bestowed upon our favorite Brazilian guest who enjoyed himself to the fullest, and then emptied...

    Halfling Musketeers -- Sat. 1pm-5pm & 6pm-10pm. BOTH FULL

Thank you, :o but it's only three quarters done! I was having so much fun at the end of the game I never wrote the last part. Think of it as Moliere's unfinished epic, LOL.

EN World Picnic In The Park - Saturday (9am-4pm) [Updated 7/25/06]

Thursday might be a problem due to being the actual first day of events and stuff (like the dealer's room). IMO, Sunday morning would be ideal. If people need to leave, they can still stop by and decompress and hang out for a bit. Those who don't need to leave can relax all day. To me, Sunday...

    Front page wonky

Right, you made that complaint in post #2 of this thread. Also posts #5, #7, #12, #15, #18, #21, #23, #29, #32, #33, #38, #40, #43 and #46. A full 30% of the first 50 posts in this thread were yours. Perhaps the 'venom' was a response to your... enthusiastic and persistent... method of complaining?

On the subject of beating a dead horse, another athlete all the kids can look up to.

Yeah, and we won't bother looking for the studies which conclude that being involved with athletics in school actually lessens a person's chances of getting in trouble with the law later in life. Instead we'll look at individual stories about athletes and ignore all the nerds and geeks who get...

    Floyd Landis tests postive again.

And if gamers could beat people up and get away with it, they would too. Jocks get to do this and feel superior because they are in better physical shape. Gamers put people down with wittier remarks and get to feel superior because they are clever. Do you really see THAT much of a difference...

    Complaint about a Mod

You see? This is the kind of heavy-handed moderation that sends people to certain lightly-to-non-moderated off-topic forums! People have been complaining about it for years and, as we can see here, it is getting much worse recently. And they say the members of that other forum have bad...

    Floyd Landis tests postive again.

Right, 'RPG style gamers' act like others are dumber or less mature and make dismissive jokes at their expense. That's LOTS more mature. :\ Every group of people I've ever met tries to build themselves up by tearing others down in whatever manner is most available to them. My cynical side...
