    Cavalier article up: Mounts galore!

I don't know, back a pony into a corner and it can get pretty scary. Seriously, I'm running a cavalier right now, loving it. I really like this mount option and will be taking advantage of it.

    Hasbro makes money, everyone wins

Response Successful businesses understand that one of the best ways you can gain market share is by creating a new market. The virtual tabletop and electronic content is the future of D&D. People will continue to play between paper and pen and online play. With creative marketing and solid...

    Hasbro makes money, everyone wins

"Researcher DFC Intelligence projects the U.S. and European market for virtual items in free-to-play games will grow to more than $3 billion by 2015 from $800 million in 2009. Companies are moving to quickly get into this market by outsourcing the technical aspects of adopting a virtual economy...

    Disappointed D&D Insider Customer

The excuse about reducing content doesn't hold water. They aren't charging anyone less, why should they be putting out less? The project plan they had, if they had one, obviously went very poorly. This isn't uncommon, I think that something like 63% of all IT projects fail. The issue is that...

I seem to be missing the point on the online CB

Value point I don't really feel that the offerings for DDI currently justify the cost. That will probably change in the future. They should offer a free month to new subscribers and credit existing subscribers one month. This would allow people to get hooked on it. I cancelled my...

One of my characters now serves a villain, and I'd like some suggestions

Tpk-1 On a TPK-1 my first impulse would be to have everyone make new characters and then convert this dwarf to a second in command NPC for the bandit king, who should definitely make an appearance later.

    Dragon/Dungeon for November

Shell The realities of business are what is to blame for most of the problems with the D&D brand. I think that bringing new players into the game starts at the gaming table. In 2008, 54% of Hasbro's consolidated net revenues came from their top five customers (Walmart, Target, Toys'R'us...

Elder Red Dragon preview is up

Yeah that makes sense. I really should have not mentioned it at all in this thread, so I'll make a dragon comment so I won't derail anything. It would have been nice to see some kind of neat parlor trick for the dragon, kind of like the aura with the black.

Elder Red Dragon preview is up

Stun should just be removed from the game altogether, it looks like they are taking steps in the right direction.

    Voting for Rarity?

Rarity Good idea, poor implementation. The de-emphasis on magic items in 4E wasn't a bug, it was a feature. You can't just play a shell game and call the same items rare and give them the same feeling magic items had in previous editions. I think they were on the right track with the rare...

    Look Ma- Rules Updates!

Yeah I'm going to take a wait and see. I haven't even seen the changes yet, for some reason the bank I work for doesn't think that the WotC website is necessary for business. Ridiculous, right? :p

D&D 4E Errata and Changes to 4e Since Release

That is what the character builder is for. :) Even if you don't want to subscribe every month, 10$ is worth it every few months to update your Character Builder. I could probably come up with a database and track all of it myself, but I'd rather pay WotC 10$ and do something more productive with...

D&D 4E Errata and Changes to 4e Since Release

I think the upcoming Rules Compendium will be a good collection of the errata from the previous books. You will just need to worry about the errata for that book, and the rest moving foward. We don't play with a lot of books at our table, but I plan on having that one handy for sure.

    Red Box: Some Constructive Criticism

I'm kind of tired of people not reading what I have to say and then completely misunderstanding my point. The box should have had more material in it to allow a more complete experience for levels 1-2 for a new group of players. Say, two pages for each class, maybe a page or two with some...

    Red Box: Some Constructive Criticism

Ok, I'm at work, so I don't have time to disagree with you line by line here. I'm not in favor of unbiased WotC bashing, and I don't have an issue with them making a dollar, if they don't, they won't put stuff out anymore. I reject the notion that anyone that disagrees that this box is a...
