While I'm not one to go out and publicly speak against the competition, I'll put up some links to our product reviews, and let the reviewers speak for themselves: http://www.d20zines.com/criticscorner/051202.htm http://www.d20zines.com/d20zine/d20zine-062002.pdf (We're #1 on their Top 5 Naval...

    High Level Support?

LI has some ideas for this sort of thing, but until we see the Epic Level Handbook, and if it will be included in the SRD, we're holding off on any plans. No need to reinvent the wheel, and definately no need to do what someone else is doing better.

Check out "Arms & Armor" from Bastion Press. They have precisely what you're looking for.

    The forgotten spellcaster

LI's future release, "Spellbound", will have a section dedicated to Adepts, but the book's not due out until Q4 2002.

Do we still need this forum?

I say keep it, and cite all the reasons already given... ...and there's no better way to get my Press Releases out to a wide audience!

    "Broadsides!" Reviews?

Indeed you did, and thank you, Psion. Your comments were certainly appreciated (and taken to heart in some cases, as you can see given our future announcements) And thank you, as well, JoeGK - I look forward to reading your thoughts.

    "Broadsides!" Reviews?

Hi kenjib, and thanks for the praise! You'll be happy to know the following things about Broadsides: 1) The trade info/economics of seafaring is covered in an article we wrote for Gaming Frontiers #3. We've included prices for common goods, wages for hirelings (sailors and the like)...

    "Broadsides!" Reviews?

About two weeks ago a Naval thread opened up where a few people all said they were planning to write reviews of "Broadsides!" by Living Imagination. Since then I've only seen one review. Is anyone else out there reviewing that book? Perhaps in a Head to Head fashion with "Seas of Blood" and...

    Ocean Sourcebooks

I know I'm somewhat biased, being the publisher of Broadsides and all, but let me put in my two cents. You're mentioning low magic, true-to-history style game play as well as underwater rules. Broadsides has both, and while Seafarer's Handbook handles the underwater rules a bit differently and...

    Undersea Adventures

We scratch the surface of underwater adventuring in "Broadsides!", but if you want to go more in depth and expand upon what we already have, feel free to contact us and we can work together.

[Purity Test] Who's the "purest" gamer here?

270... Not yet a Game Master, but awfully close... You know, for a publisher, I was worried I would score much higher... but 270 is the highest yet... C'mon Piratecat! Take the test and prove I'm not Geek #1 around here. :)

    Broadsides!

We definately appreciate your time, and value the review. Between the reviews and the discussion this book has sparked, I feel very good about Broadsides. I feel we have a very strong product, and based on what the buyer is looking for, one that is superior to the other two in many ways.

    Broadsides!

The problem with ship construction rules that encompass both a longship and a galleon are that technology changed so much from 800 AD to 1700 AD that the whole process was literally 100% different. This was the problem we encountered when trying to design a codified set of rules for...

    Broadsides!

Looks like JGK got you a link to our cover before I could get home from work... thanks Joe! Anyway - I'm sending you an email about the book condition. Check your inbox... (and I'm really anxious to see the review!)

    Broadsides!

Broadsides is 95% generic, and 5% Twin Crowns only. The only TC-specific stuff we have are a few of the sample encounters are set in the TC world, and we have 12 new rituals designed specifically for the TC ritual system... otherwise, the entire rest of the book is setting-neutral. None of the...

    Tired of Core Covers?

We did this with Twin Crowns, but Broadsides has the both the aspects of looking like a book and a full-color original piece of artwork. We plan to continue having original artwork on each of our covers, and we do not intend to go back to the "Core Cover" convention for any future releases.
