There were digital tools being developed for release with both 3E and then later 4E . . . a 3D VTT was definitely a part of the package for 4E, and I think 3E too . . . but, heck it's all vapor ware. :)

Now that I posted . . . was the 3D VTT supposed to debut with 3E or 4E? I sometimes get WotC's attempts at digtal tools confused . . . either way, 25 years or 17 years, it's been a while.

WotC had made decent progress on a 3D VTT to debut alongside THIRD EDITION way back in 2000 . . . . the fact it's taken about 25 years for anybody to bring a successful 3D VTT to market speaks to the difficulty of the task.

That is most definitely NOT why Larian isn't going to be making DLC for Baldur's Gate 3 or any future D&D titles. According to Larian CEO Sven Vincke, they simply want to move on and do new things. And how is Pathfinder any more or less "limiting" than D&D 5E when it comes to CRPG adaptations?

Those are POD (print-on-demand) books you were trying to order. So, yeah, gonna be more expensive than picking up the latest mass-printed hardcover from Amazon. I can't afford to drop that much on Baker's books either, but not because this hobby is "overpriced". I am enjoying the digital copies...
