Rules Lawyer to ME implies that they use their knowledge of the rules in a bad way. As a detriment to the game, instead of a helpful force. That said, many times people who ARE helpful with their rules knowledge are labelled "rules lawyers" simply because (IMO) this hobby has a strange aversion...
