    Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde

Just noticed another way to do this that seems pretty awesome - the Synthesist summoner archetype. Instead of having an eidolon as a different creature, you gain all the abilities of your eidolon, effectively "wearing" it. It seems pretty fun - I actually kind of want to try it now.

    Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde

The most pure to the source material would be the Alchemist. There's even a prestige class that focuses on this concept that could be cool, the Master Chymist. If I were going to play a character like this, I'd probably go with the Chiurgeon (healing powers, loses poison use) and Vivisectionist...

Archery Character - Ranger or Fighter?

Mechanically, I don't think crossbows are ever worth it. You can't get a Strength crossbow like you can with a bow, and that's a huge problem. The reloading limitations are even worse. They'd have to be significantly better than a bow per shot to be worth it, and they're not. I agree with...

Adventuring Classes: For a Few Denarii More (now taking requests)

*cough cough* If he's developing it as a Prestige Class and you want a base class tactician-type, you might check out the one I developed. You can check out the development cycle and see a few sample NPCs in this thread.

Adventuring Classes: For a Few Denarii More (now taking requests)

I would probably combine the Athelete and the Jongelour, as well as the Courtier and Emissary. I'm not sure there's enough conceptual space for them to be different base classes. A Jongelour would be an Athelete who gains some benefit from his Charisma and Perform skill, using his physical...

    Arcane Strike Question

Doesn't seem bad for an arcane archer - there's no requirement that it be a melee weapon.

    Question on Poisons

Poisons are better than they were in 3.5, but you do need some investment to use them well. Alchemists and rogues are the best at it. I know my archer has a small collection of poisons we found on an assassin, but I haven't bothered using any of them. Just hasn't seemed worth it.

    Question about multiple attacks.

No - they're all primary attacks, and thus don't suffer a penalty. This is distinctly different in Pathfinder than it was in 3.5 - it's normal to have more than one primary attack.

    Question about multiple attacks.

No, a standard action is still one single attack (one claw or one bite, in this case). In order to get more than one attack, you have to take a full attack or have an ability that specifically states you get multiple attacks when you'd normally be allowed only one, such as Pounce.

Designing an aquatic setting (Part 1, PC races)

Nice variety of different races. I like the lizardfolk as a major power - I've always thought they were cooler as tropical island-dwellers than swamp monsters, like the iguanas they usually resemble. What's the difference between the gillmen and the mermen? The gillmen seem to be new, but...

    Anti-Paladin Feats

Check out http://www.d20pfsrd.com/. Youll be able to find what you need there - I think theyre from APG or Ultimate Magic.

    Anti-Paladin Feats

What does the Thrall of Orcus get? If I were making an antipaladin, I would probably use a lot of fear effects, since they remove fear immunity nearby. Cruelties can be pretty nasty, particularly with a Conductive weapon (from APG, allows user to spend two uses of a power to cast it on a weapon...

    Words of Power and Summoner

I haven't read the system in detail yet, but from a brief once-over it seems like there's room for an Eidolon target Word for summoners. Level 0, Medium range, allows you to target just your eidolon with effects. If boosted, you can target your eidolon anywhere, regardless of range or LoS...

New Savage Worlds Basic Rules Book?

They're releasing a Deluxe edition this summer. I believe it'll be a full-sized hardback and more expensive than the EE. Great White Games/Pinnacle Entertainment Group :: View topic - Savage Worlds Deluxe! FRP GAMES - PRODUCT - Savage Worlds Deluxe (HC)

The What Is It? Contest 5

Makes sense. I've never done much epic stuff myself. I was in a City of Brass game that got to 18th level, but that's the highest level character I've had in ages. After looking back on previous entries in this contest, I find it much easier to think of things for monsters with color pictures...

The What Is It? Contest 5

Thanks! I quite like what you put together too. I didn't think of it looking like a plant at all - I first looked at the picture on my phone, and thought it looked like it was made up of a bunch of things, and wanted to do something with swarms as a result of the critters all around it. I didn't...

The What Is It? Contest 5

Here's my entry, first time I've participated in this contest. I missed out on a good idea for one, and liked this picture well enough to write this up. The sea parts as a titanic, writhing mass of aquatic vermin, all moving as one creature, lumbers onto the shore. A series of black pearls...

    Artificer Conversion

Seems to me that almost all the class abilities and spell lists would need to be different. I think it's distinct enough to warrant its own class. Bombs, poison use, and the mutagen would all be different. If you're scrapping the class abilities, what's the point of calling it an alternate class?

    Artificer Conversion

Have a look at this conversion I did a few weeks ago. I posted it here, but didn't get any replies. This is a slightly modified version of what I posted, with four different artificer paths that the artificer can select as a direction to take their abilities. One of them uses this idea - they...

Pathfinder 1E Pathfinderized Artificer a la Steampunk

I've posted a first draft of a Pathfindery artificer based on some of what we've talked about here. I'd appreciate any thoughts you or any other interested parties have. http://www.enworld.org/forum/pathfinder-rpg-discussion/306389-pathfinderized-artificer-another-take.html
