    [OT] Anyone Fence? Advice?

I would recomend starting in traditional fencing like rapier style, it is easy to pick up and doesnt require a large ammount of physical strain. I have only recently tried the more midieval styles of sword play with broadswords maces and the like. Needless to say it is quite different. The...

Bigby's Forceful Hand and more powerful versions

I dont see any official rules for it, but I would think the hand is Large/Tall, not wide or long. Also, it would seem logical that the hand would suffer attacks of opportunity as normal from moving through threatened areas. I would have to assume it would only move in a straight line away from...

    Duelist prereqs?

In regards to yoru question, yes every fencer I know can *fence* close to equally well with either hand, obvioulsy they are going to have a favored hand they use more. But beyond fencing they cant use their opposing hand for much else. It isnt true ambidexterity, but in regards to fencing I...

    Material costs

Perhaps im quite insane, but I seem to remember somewhere saying if a spell has a material component that costs, such as stone skin, and a cleric casts it as a divine spell they dont have to pay the material costs. I cant seem to find it in the books so maybe I'm just plain wrong, but I would...

    Duelist prereqs?

As a fencer I know almost nothing about tumbling [or performing for that matter...] but I do know that within a month of taking lessons they tought me to fight with both my hands... you are at a serious disadvantage (in real life at least) if you cannot use both hands equally. Its like playing...

    Duelist prereqs?

As someone who actually fences (not that I can prove it...) it is almost necessary to be able to fence with either hand, and it is a very well thought out decision to put in that feat requirement. It's also a clever way to sneak in a Dex requirement of 13.

Real world myths and legends: Who's Epic Level?

Paul Bunyon, Baron Munchausen, John Henry, Alexander the Great... some off the top of my head not mentioned yet (I think). Jack Ryan (from Clancy's books and movies like red october) after all his exploits he must be pretty high in level :D

    Magical Whip

Well blue dragons are great burrowers and live in the sand... mabey something off of that angle? They also use lots of Illusions as their abilities as they age, as well as the ability to create or destroy water. Truthfully I cant think of anything interesting but mabey you can from that info.

(OT)This chick is going to Hell

In defence of the homeless, I have worked in a homeless shelter for awhile, and they arent just lazy or shiftless, nearly all of them have a mental problem that wont let them work, or they dont understand it. Just because somebody seems able to work at McDonalds doesnt mean they have the ability...

    age of your character???

Human Male Monk age 62. Hey, age comes with wisdom :) He's suppposed to be like the old monk in movies everyone underestimates. "get out of my way old man!" But with his 24+ wisdom he has very powerful stunning attacks, decent AC etc. The loss of physical stats didnt hurt too much... ive had him...

    Brotherhood of the Wolf d20

Spoiler Alert Wasnt it a Lion, and not a Wolf as Andy Collins web page suggests? Considering its size (and the fact that its a lion) I would use the Dire Lion Stats.

[WoT, Music] Wheel of Time Soundtrack

Mabey I'm the only person on earth who bought and played all the wya through the WoT game (based on the Unreal engine) but it was very good in my opinion. Some of the atmospheres were amazing and quite scary. Anyway, the game CD itself had about a 20 track soundtrack on it. It was ok, a little...

    Relics for Sale?

Role playing items? If somebody found a belt of giants stregnth, or a headband of intelect of a high value like +4 it could be quite a changing experience. When putting on such a powerful belt, a wizard might feel compelled to melee because of his new found stregnth, or a fighter might think he...

Can someone explain what "1st ed feel" is?

I think what they mean is Nolstagia, which is generaly left tucked away in your mind, because as soon as someone tries to bring it back to reality, everyone seems to have remembered everything differently.
