Another thing that doesn't quite track. Chapter 6 has a side trek with agents of the Yartar thief guild the Hand running afoul of the Kraken Society which is a secret network that somehow has a Sahuagin working for it. Wouldn't some detail on who the Kraken Society is and what they are doing...

I like the adventure. I'm running it right now for my Monday D&D group. Despite that, I wouldn't recommend it be picked up to loot for ideas, etc. If you're not running the campaign, there's not enough reusable stuff or additional material to justify purchasing it to loot for ideas.

That's a good point Grimstaff. It's anecdotal but in my local area (Nashville), forum involvement, etc. is very common amongst Dungeon Masters and pretty common amongst regular players, just not so much amongst the casual crowd.

I'm confused...if they aren't going into backstory/lore and they aren't telling new narrative....what are they doing with a setting then? Not trying to be diffilcult...I don't get it.

I love the 5E game and the core books. WOTC's nebulous plan for supporting the game and their lack of communication both confuses and frustrates me.

While the old Greyhawk material is available, older sourcebooks are not always the easiest to parse through for material. Especially for new people who aren't familiar with the setting and don't know what to look for and where. That's where new setting sourcebooks (or whatever) would be...

Another thing that doesn't quite make sense. Factions in Princes of the Apocalypse. The adventure seems to assume their presence, it even tells you who the organizations are in the beginning but then, aside from side treks..its really doesn't do anything with the factions. They are important...

Right now, I'm reading everything I can to get ideas to flesh out my Princes of the Apocalypse campaign. I don't have tons of time outside work but I do what I can.
