    Underwater Adventuring

I don't have the book in front of me right now but I'm pretty sure the (Legends & Lairs) "Seafarers Handbook" deals with underwater pressure. There is even a feat "Pressure Survivor" I think, and a section on taking damage (on a failed save) for every minute below 100' you are (or something to...

    How's the weather?

I Tried this in Plots & Places but didn't get any attention so I'll try this here. I'm starting a new campaign in Westgate where the PCs are Private Investigators. I have a lot of details planned out already about the people and places in the city but I want to start focussing on the more day...

    How's the Weather in Westgate?

I'm starting a new campaign in Westgate where the PCs are Private Investigators. I have a lot of details planned out already about the people and places in the city but I want to start focussing on the more day to day details. Like weather for example. Does anyone know what the weather cycle...

    [FR] Adventures in Westgate

DOH!!! thanks. I totally forgot I had that book. I think I need to reorganize my stuff better. Just thumbed through it, the section on the Night Masks looks pretty good. Thanks for reminding me about that one. As for Villian's Handbook I think one of my players has that one, I'll have to...

    [FR] Adventures in Westgate

I'm starting a new campaign in Westgate in the next couple of weeks and wondering if anyone had done any work on that area? The PCs will be part of a 'private investigation team' that mainly hires out to the City Watch. (but will do personal cases as well). The main focus will be unsolved cases...

    build-a-bard workshop

I love playing bards, especially in 3.5 with no arcane spell failure in light armour!!!! :) I would stick with missile weapons (bow) if you need to pick up the slack there, that way you can still sing your bard songs and pick off your enemies.. and if things turn real ugly you can run away...

When does 'at will' come into effect?

Thanx. that's what I thought. Just needed to backup my answer to the group.

When does 'at will' come into effect?

Say someone has an ability they can use at will, ie: heal, teleport, whatever. Do they have to wait until it is their initiative or can they use this ability at any time during the round? For example: This particular demon has the ability to teleport at will, The demon attacks the party first...

AD&D and the people who still play it

I recently took a gander at the hits my 2nd edition website was getting and was totally amazed. Haven't updated it since 3e first came out and I'm now getting 30,000+ hits a month (for the past 6 months at least). Granted there's a lot of Waterdeep information there so you could just use that...

[FR] Waterdeep adventures (My players stay out)

The Dungeon of the Crypt is located in between Undermountain and the City sewers. You can gain entrance from one of the Mausoleums in the City of the Dead. There's not much written about it but you can assume lots of undead and such. There are rumours that the leader of the Unseen (Evil...

[FR] Waterdeep adventures (My players stay out)

I have held many adventures in Waterdeep. Probably more than any single area in the Realms (or elswhere) That being said, I like the idea of the were-rats tie in. I once ran an adventure where some of the city watch started to harrass the PCs for no reason. Always the same group of watch...

    D&D 3.x 3.5 Druid: No weapon restrictions?

I house ruled the Druid weapon list in 3.0 and will probably keep it. IMC Druids can use any weapon made of natural materials (wood, stone, bone etc..) and any weapon (metal included) that holds the shape of a cresent moon (bows, scimitars, scythes etc..) It's worked really well with respects...

    Silverymoon Wards

That was my plan... I had a few ideas already but I just wanted to be able to back them up. I have a 'rules lawyer' in the game and we sometimes but heads over "rules versus story" anyway.. thanks for the ideas.... looks like Silverymoon is going to BURN BURN BUUUUUUUUUUUUUUURN!!!! From the...

    Silverymoon Wards

Just a quick question on how you would interpret this ruling on the prevailing wards in Silverymoon. The prevailing spells of Silverymoon's wards are known to include: Antipathy to all evil-aligned demons, devils, dragons, drow, duergar, giants, goblinoids, mind flayers, orcs, and trolls...

Sneak Attack & unarmed attack (NOT Monk)

A rogue that does not have improved unarmed attack, punches (hits, kicks or whatever) an opponent and deals out 1d3 points of subdual damage. (+/- str mod) Can this rogue also deal sneak attack damage (subdual) if he/she meets the sneak attack req? I ruled yes for now, describing it has a hit...

    Air Genasi & Underwater Spellcasting...

We just started a new campaign all on the ocean (and under). My one player is an "Air Genasi Wizard". I was looking up the rules for underwater casting in 'Legends and Lairs - Seafarers Handbook' and it stated that a person could only cast if they could breath water or had an air bubble around...
