"Baby got Back" or "Fat-Bottomed Girls?"

Is this one of the songs that reminds you of your true love from another thread? Glad to see you've made the healthy choice and moved on. ;) BTW- I chose both. Rumps are good in all their forms.

    Printer Goes Bad

Sorry, but I have nothing bad to say about my Epson Stylus Photo RX500 printer, copier, scanner. I've had it for about 6 months and it rocks. Having said that, if I have a large pdf or something I want a really good copy of, I print it at work ( :uhoh: ) on the color laser printer.

    Kits vs Prestige Classes

I voted kits, and I'm a bit puzzled by the criticism that they are inconsistent, screwy and unbalanced. Who ever said all PC's should be of equal power? The Warhammer careers (similar to kits) also vary wildly but I've almost never heard a peep of criticism about them being unbalanced. If one...

Head over heels for a girl.

I'm sorry, but based on what you said it doesn't seem like she's yours to lose. Give it some time and don't do anything drastic. If you try too hard that's a surefire way of failing.

    New Review Product...

Unrelated, but I thought you got shafted in that other thread.

    Good historical sources?

Sun Tzu? Or "The Art of War in the Middle Ages", C.W.C. Oman?

    Good historical sources?

I was wondering about this myself..... The title of the thread contains the indicators "Reference books" and "historical", but the initial post doesn't really specify that he his looking for "reference" book recommendations per se. Most of the recommendations so far, including mine, have been...

    If you liked Nyambe...

Can't wait to see how these core classes are handled in setting specific ways, as I'm sure they are to some degree or another. I can imagine subtle versions of most of them, but how about Monks (and I surprise myself here because this is normally a class I couldn't care less about)? No Jesuits...

    Would YOU play AD&D 2e?

Am I the only one here that prefers "kits" over "prestige classes"? The former is just so much more gamey and the latter utterly pretentious and classless.

    If you liked Nyambe...

The power of En World: I am probably going to purchase some Atlas Games products, specifically Northern Crown and Nyambe related, that I would not have without the information I have gleaned from various threads in these forums. The clincher for me was finding out that "A New World" was a...

    Would YOU play AD&D 2e?

I think even IF you don't.....Dark Sun is not my cup of tea by any means but I still enjoyed at least several games in that setting because the DM was good and I liked the people I was playing with. And I hope you're joking.....who the heck wants to play a paladin in Lankhmar?!

Need a quick critique on two covers...

Gotta admit I didn't read the whole thread thoroughly so forgive me if I'm being repetitive here...... Both look great as is, honestly, but here's my input for what it's worth: Move the text and possibly the sword higher up in "Old School". The brightness seems fine to me but I'd like to see...

    Would YOU play AD&D 2e?

Absolutely...why not? With a good DM and a decent bunch of players just about anything goes. A ruleset is just a way to get PC's from point A to point B. I have my personal preferences and comfort zones but I'm not a diehard for any particular set of rules. Had a blast with Al-Qadim and some...

    Good historical sources?

This is probably my favorite history of colonial America. Reminds me too that I loaned it out and never got it back. It's worth a reread. I had no idea Northern Crown was influenced by it! I may have to check it out.....

How do you explain RPGs to others?

Can't believe I'm agreeing with some guy calling himself maggot. I feel no need to justify what I do with my spare time to others, not looking to convert anybody to the game, and like magoot asserts, I'm not gonna sweat a lengthy explanation since most people just ain't all that interested. If...

ENWorld Fantasy Football [UK] - Final Standings

I'll second the "Go Chimbonda!". Wigan has been a pleasant little surprise this season. Several players doing well. Anyone who doesn't have Lampard on their team yet needs to seriously consider some transfers. The Wanderers are hot on your heels Donkeys! Did I see that you made 2...

    Good historical sources?

I'll 2nd or third Gies for the reasons above. Others that jump to mind: "A World Lit Only By Fire", William Manchester "A Distant Mirror", Barbara Tuchman Both read very easily, especially Tuchman, who weaves a factual, narrative tale through the fabric of the times she is writing about...
