D&D General DMs Guild Classics POD & PDF Wishlist

I don’t think it was ever WoTC staff working on this. From prior emails and requests for old modules to scan it was Drivethru who was doing the scans and cleanup so I doubt the new edition has much to do with this.

D&D General DMs Guild Classics POD & PDF Wishlist

I would recommend printing the books you like using Lulu. I finally gave up on WoTC and printed the Tower of High Sorcery on Lulu. The process was pretty easy and the print quality exceeds that of Drivethru. With a coupon it was like $40 for full color including delivery.

    D&D 5E (2024) GenCon 2023 - D&D Rules Revision panel

What a ridiculous take. They are having the public, people who play the game regularly, test their brainstorming not do it for them.

    D&D 5E (2024) GenCon 2023 - D&D Rules Revision panel

I like it. Why not see if there is anything out there that is a dark horse that people end up loving. Shows that while they intend to play it safe they are open to something new if it blows people away.

D&D General Which D&D World Would Make the Best TV Show

My thinking as well. What would adapt well to tv isn’t necessarily my favorite setting.

D&D General Which D&D World Would Make the Best TV Show

Dragonlance by a mile. It would be the easiest to adapt to a show that would have broad enough interest to capture an audience outside of RPG fans. And the problematic elements such as the Gully Dwarves are easily left out without impacting the story or integrity of the world.

D&D 5E (2024) We have Arcane, Divine, and Primal lists now. Why not Psionic?

I generally agree with your thoughts on psionics. They idea of making a short rest 5 minutes and tying Warlock spells to that would be even more awful than the current Warlock.

D&D General What happened POD classics at DMSGuild

So I uploaded it to Lulu and ordered a personal copy from the PDF I purchased legally so it is all on the up and up. Lulu was pretty easy to use. I will let everyone know what the quality is like when I get it. Cannot wait to have a hardcover copy of Tower of High Sorcery.

    D&D 5E (2024) New One D&D Playtest Document: 77 Pages, 7 Classes, & More!

I like it. To me it is close to the sweet spot. I really like 5E but I always felt like there wasn't quite enough customization. PF 2E always felt like too much so I am happy with just some small additions.

    D&D 5E (2024) Unearthed Arcana Playtest Packet 6 Video

Yup and at low to mid levels Paladin seems the most powerful in current 5E.

Dig Deep Into Survivalist’s Guide to Spelunking

My groups makes our characters on paper and we are a mix of young and old. We have two players over fourty and four in their teens. We don’t do any character creation digitally.

Dig Deep Into Survivalist’s Guide to Spelunking

I briefly looked at the Kickstarter and then checked this book out at my local gaming store. Love AAW but this book seemed so niche I just cannot imagine it getting much use at my table. Similarly I owned the Dungeoneer’s Survival Guide back in the day and never really used it. It seemed for...

    D&D 5E (2024) D&D 5.11 - the time of big change is over

I suspect they will both be about the same as how far a departure from 5E they are but in different directions which is why I passed on ToV. Using some original 5E material with ToV and the updated 5E seems like it would be too much a headache.

    D&D 5E (2024) D&D 5.11 - the time of big change is over

Maybe but honestly some of the stuff I have seen this far like Tales of the Valiant don’t excite me much.

    D&D 5E (2024) D&D 5.11 - the time of big change is over

I did not liked ranged smite. I already found paladins a little overpowered and making them a powerful ranged attacker seemed even more unbalanced.

    D&D 5E (2024) D&D 5.11 - the time of big change is over

I don’t understand deal breakers. As mentioned previously I hate the current Warlock build but I just don’t play one.

Yeah they are trying to thread a very fine needle indeed.

    D&D 5E (2024) D&D 5.11 - the time of big change is over

Yeah I kind of feel this way too. I hoped this was an opportunity to make an already good game great. Will seem like a waste if after all this things are almost exactly the same. If they decide against things like weapon masteries I wish they could add them to an optional rules section.
