No. but I think there is honest debate about what their intent was and whether it was malicious or just incompetently executed.

Yeah I am so tired of it. I have stopped following and listening to a lot of people I did previously. I cannot stand the constant negativity. The OGL fiasco was a self inflicted wound but I have moved beyond that. I couldn’t care less about the whole Pinkerton thing.

I am interested to hear you definition of slow. I DM for a group of 5. Average combat encounter is probably less than 5 minutes. Our longest combat session ever in 16 months of playing together is maybe 20-25 minutes. Belabored combat is often related to the DM.

I like it a lot. It at least distinguishes weapons a little and will help make different characters more unique. Before weapons were so boring other than the ridiculous rapier. I also think you are greatly over thinking how much it will slow down combat. Maybe the first couple sessions but...

This is all being blown out of proportion. Weapon Masteries are not complicated from a player perspective. I think most new players will easily manage it. It may make slightly more work for the DM in the short term.

Yeah right. Yup everything is WoTC’s fault. This update started before the OGL debacle. This is all on Paizo for better or worse depending on how you feel about it.

Nah. Warlocks were too convoluted. Any time I was teaching a new player the game the game they had no interest in Warlock.

The movie isn’t going to lose money. The people on these forums can be so miserable. Obviously no one can provide proof unless they can time travel to the future but based on what we know about how film revenue typically works both box office revenue and other revenue the film will not lose...

Looks interesting. I may join since my Kobold Press patreon ended. Production value seems on the low side. Will that improve with additional backers/funds? Any consideration for some sort of print item down the line?

I don’t think WoTC is worried. They can advertise on and promote other streamers if they need to, could even bankroll competition entirely if they wanted. If the updated D&D does well Critical Roll will probably find their way back to it.

Yeah I think that is pretty common. Just because a Kickstarter is successful doesn’t equal long term financial success. Myself and most the people I know bought into 7th Seas a couple years back and yet few of us played it or those who did played it and quickly lost interest. Cool books for...

With publishers thinking WoTC is vulnerable between the OGL fiasco and the update version of D&D we are seeing a great splintering. However many of these new games won’t garner the financial success they are hoping for and some will come back to D&D. My prediction anyways.

This is beyond a stretch. All the 3PP Deck of Many Things together over the last decade probably didn’t even generate 20-30k in profit.

Fair point. It Was pretty straightforward and would be great for beginning players and DMs.
