If a low-level Duskblade uses arcane channeling with Shocking Grasp, swings and misses, is the Shocking Grasp still there for next round's attack? In other words, can a Duskblade 'hold the charge' with their weapon like they would if the spell being used as normal (through their hand) or does...

How much would it cost to make a Ring of Energy Resistance that granted 5 points of fire resistance? The SRD has the following: So 10 pts = 12k, 20 pts = 28k, and 30 pts = 44k. Is there a pattern there?

If a character's Dexterity changes during combat, does their Initiative likewise change? (Interested in rules rather than opinions - as I've plenty of the latter already :) )

Suppose a fighter is 11th level and so has attacks at +11, +6, and +1 (that's a mian attack and two iteratives). When he does a full attack, does he have to to take the attacks in order? Assuming he states his intention before rolling or anything, could he use his +1 attack first?

So in the case of opposed attack checks a tie goes to the defender, but in the case of opposed skill checks, a tie goes to the higher modifier? It seems to me that an exception like that would warrant being called out in the relavant text. It also seems unnecessarily inconsistant, even for WotC.

What happens if a disarm attempt ties? The rules say "beat the defender". Does it really mean "beat the defender in an opposed attack roll"? The rules only say what happens with a tied skill check. Does it really mean "skill or attack check"? Disarm: Opposed Checks: emphasis mine

The problem with that is that then if the player sees two enemies fighting each other, all he has to do is pretend one of them is a friend. That way if he misses his true target, he should the (by your house rule above) get a free attack against the other.

Suppose a 3rd level Duskblade (who must be 5th level in order to cast 2nd level spells) finds a scroll of Dimension Hop (which is a 2nd level spell for duskblades, wizards, and sorcerors). By default, the caster level on the scroll would be 3 (because a 3rd level wizard could have created it)...

I'm making a duskblade and was going to take the Battlecaster feat so I could cast while wearing full plate armor. Could I save the feat and just buy mithral full plate instead? I'll have profficiency in light, medium, and heavy armors and (at higher level) the ability to avoid spell failure...

Ah ok, that's better (still small, but doable).

I'm making a character and was considering Duskblade until I saw the spell list. Only two choices for 4th and 5th level spells? :confused: Are there more Duskblade spells somewhere? Am I wrong in thinking that they only get to choose from those tiny lists on pg. 98-99 of the PHB II?
