You can frequently find giant Humble Bundle collections of various game systems for just not quite free. Cost is not a strong argument at dabbling your toe into many different game systems.

I think they have stated 10+ times their thoughts were about social media woes in general and not about this specific case (even bolded sometimes). If that line of discussion isnt appropriate to the thread (and I feel it is) then the mods can let them know.

Does this ring true when we have had people in this very thread that have been intermingling comments attacking sex work, not liking their GM style, accusing them of being bad players, etc.. that has NOTHING to do with the actual "bad" things they may be responsible for. The dogpile is not...

In my lifetime the term due process is a generic one meaning "look at all the data before judging" and not necessarily relating to the legal system specifically.

Amazon does all these bad things....and to a much greater degree than has been leveled in this case...but they still are pretty popular.

Why 3d6+42+8 instead of 3d6+50? I haven't been following the design and am curious.

Game design that keeps everything hidden from the players. As an example rather than playing the "guess the stats" game every combat just show the players their target numbers and let them have at it.

Or it's as simple as saying one player getting 4 turns while another gets 1 isn't fun for the another.

Oh man this brings back memories. In the one VTM game I played in long long ago I was the only PC without celerity. When combats started I would just leave the table for awhile and declare myself to be cowering in the background. Bad game design, that bit.

We're just wrestling with verbiage. In a game it is possible to encounter something and not engage with it. If the monster in a dungeon room were a small turtle that when flipped over turned into a giant dragon the encounter rmay be as simple as... GM: You enter the door marked Room 3...

The cannot omes from two things. 1. The adventure may explicit say it is outright impossible to go back the way you came.. 2. If where you want to go isn't written in the adventure then it effectively doesn't exist. Perhaps the adventure has a river running through a chamber in a dungeon...

Physically moving into room 3 is encountering room 3. You may not interact with it in any way but you still encountered it.

If "What do you want to do, players?" isn't soliciting the "dramatic needs of PCs" and "I create things on the fly to give the players a good time exploring what they asked for" isnt "framing scenes and narrating consequences in response to these needs" then I think I'm going to have to tap out...

It's probably been said 500 times already in this thread, but perhaps an issue is that 5e (or most any TTRPG) can be played in very different ways. One table could have a prepublished campaign, characters with no personal story, and a GM that is going to run a series of sections from the book...
