That's actually what prompted the question! If I'm a 8th level Psychic warrior with Vigor, Expanded Knowledge:Share Pain, and Psicrystal Affinity, couldn't I, in theory, drop 11 pp and effectively block 80 hp's worth of damage? Or is there something I'm not seeing to this combo?
