    Wizard Death and Spellbooks

I would say the latter. If he is still able to cast the spells at 8th level, then he can cast them. nah.. I don't think so. :) Unless the dm is taking the two away, then the bonus won't be gained twice. SD

[Sorta FR] Does this idea sound any good? (All please read and comment)

Re: Something else I just thought of I am not familiar with FR, but this sounds pretty cool. What is Talos the god of? Here is what I would do with the "fragment"- there was an article in Dragon some issues back about pc's making magic items by investing xp into a masterwork item. No...

The Monk: What changes would you like to see?

I agree. The matter gets confusing. I would either like to see a feat system like fighters- and turn some of the monk abilities turned to feats. The monk gets a list of feats to choose from. Or, if you don't want a +10 movement feat, - adapt the monk to have a talent tree like the base classes...

    Save or Die!

Well, in the example I used above- the player wrote a long background. He wrote IC summaries of every adventure leading up to that encounter. He had done well in enriching the world by making friends and enemies. When his character died from a single bad roll, I don't recall him high-fiving the...

    [DRAGON #305] F-bomb dropped, Doc M fascinated.

I apologize- I don't take well to being called a fanatic. Especially when it would be clear when reading my posts in this very thread. I will just remember to use the ignore list in the future. SD

    [DRAGON #305] F-bomb dropped, Doc M fascinated.

I don't recall calling for censorship. Would you like to quote me? I read GRRM. I enjoy GRRM. I don't even have a huge problem with his sniplet being in Dragon- it is the "mature" trend of the magazine. Perhaps if I was still thirteen, then I may appreciate it. Today, I would rather just have...

    Save or Die!

Salutations, The problem is a bit annoying, but is not limited to saves. In d20- if you botch a swim check, then you might be in the same position. In the last d&d campeign I ran one of the pc's got turned to stone, the rest of the party screwed around and ended up blowing up the statue. It...

Will D&D 3.5 have action dice?

I don't think you need official rules to add action dice. The good thing about Spycraft and them is they are built into the system. For examples: Class abilities, feats, background, criticals, and other areas can involve action dice. 3.5 D&D is not going to be rewritten to include action...

    D20 Modern Vs. Spycraft

I was not aware chase scenes were only part of the Espionage genre. I think you are being a bit silly. Plus while some of the style feats are spy-oriented, most are not. SD Edit: On a side note, AEG recently asked for emails suggesting things users would like to see done in future books...

    Your experiences with d20 Modern?

    1) Yes 2) No 2a) I thought the wealth system was sloppy. Since I was not playing a combat oriented character, character creation was tough due to the lack of decent non-combat feats. I made the ultimate mistake of playing a spellcasting AdvCls, and came to realize even when I did get abilities...

    [DRAGON #305] F-bomb dropped, Doc M fascinated.

Ignorance is part of innocence- which is an essential part of childhood. Is that patronizing? Yes, it is. I don't mind the description when it comes to protecting children. SD

    Need help with Dungeon Encounters

the players needed to get into a magically sealed crypt. A riddle carved on the door led them to a bottom of a full well- which took a long time for them to handle (they were first level). There was a standard riddle in there - the answer was moon. But- it did not say what to do with the...
