    Creature Incarnations: Kobolds

If kobolds followed the same social systems that we do, then yes, I'd agree with you. Pinotage

    Creature Incarnations: Kobolds

It's one of those quantum things. Found alone it's elite and more powerful to the PCs, but in the kobold tribe he loses his elite status and isn't more powerful than the Chieftain. Pinotage

What do 3rd-party publishers think of the GSL?

Yes. At least as I understand, though there may be differences. I haven't heard from Goodman, but I think they're all in with 4e. Necromancer are still looking for clarification on a few things, but Clark posted in another thread that he was now thinking about keeping 3e and 4e lines entirely...

First 3rd Party Product available already...

Not sure where it's from, but it's true. 14 days after WotC receive your application, you can post free content. Pinotage

First 3rd Party Product available already...

I would imagine a day or two of lee-way was more than enough, although in the case of international posting it could be more difficult to judge whether something was 14 days after they'd received it but never told anybody about it. Knowingly jumping the gun by 13 days is another matter which...

I just did something I never though I would do

That was announced by Orcus wasn't it? Necromancer were planning on doing an Adventure Path for 4e. I'm assuming that's still on the cards. Pinotage

How has the 4e/3e schism affected you?

The 'schism' hasn't affected my groups at all. We're all still happily playing 3.5e and will continue to do so for the next few years. ENWorld is really the only place I frequently visit, and I'll admit it's been a little unfriendly (and in particular fanboy-ish on both sides), though I don't...

Is the GSL unfair to the consumer?

Yes and No. It entirely fine for WotC to run their business the way they do and handle their licenses the way they do. One of the things I've picked up about this is that the d20 license has been revoked, in other words, all products bearing the d20 logo need to be updated or removed from the...

    Creamsteak's Pathfinder Sunless Citadel [OOC]

Creamsteak, I'm willing to continue but with Reveile out, I'm not sure where you stand? Do you want to continue the game? Pinotage

What do 3rd-party publishers think of the GSL?

As I understand it you can't alter WotC IP in any way. So you can't create something with the same name but different stat block as you're alterning what they've defined in the SRD. So you need both a new name and a new stat block (or at least different - they're hardly going to terminate if...

What do 3rd-party publishers think of the GSL?

True. But that's hardly an ideal situation for most publishers. Now you have to concentrate on both writing a great adventure, and creating your own interesting monsters. The customer wins in a way as he gets both new monsters and an adventure, but it will dilute the monster base. Pinotage

EN World Iconics: To 4e or Not to 4e.

I haven't seen Shilsen around here recently, but he and I are in a PbP on another forum together, and he's been pretty active there. Pinotage

3rd party content is it just popular in the USA or?

Also remember that a large portion of 3rd party support was and still is pdf. You don't spot that so easily. In most good gamestores around the UK I've seen loads of 3rd party material, in some instances much more than WotC material. Pinotage

What do 3rd-party publishers think of the GSL?

From a customer point of view, the use of the GSL is also annoying. You can't, for example, print monster stat blocks, you can't include rule text, etc. Everything has to be referenced. So if you just want to run a GSL adventure, the adventure itself is not nearly going to be as useful on its...

    4e D&D GSL Live

It doens't look like there's anything stopping one from going with the 4e GSL, and then getting another company (owned by you or even license your material to) that doesn't use the GSL to convert your GSL content to OGL. Or am I reading things wrong? Pinotage
