I was leafing through UA at the local Barnes & Noble when I noticed the 'Armor as Damage Reduction' section. It sounds like an interesting and more realistic system, but I'm wondering how it plays out. I'd be interested to hear from players and DMs if it is a worthwhile house rule to institute.

*GASP* Get rid of game books? Who does THAT!?!? :eek: I've more than a few books that I purchased knowing they'd probably never get thoroughly used. I just enjoy reading `em. Maybe we should start some sort of support group for people that can't stop buying supplements. :lol:

Other than characters from the D&D Novels, have you ever used characters from fantasy novels as NPCs? If so, how did your players react? I've contemplated guest appearances by Elric and Corwin (from the Amber series) in the past but haven't found the right way to do so yet.

Heck, one of the few game stores in my state shrink wraps EVERYTHING. I bought a poorly written d20 module from them based upon the cover picture and back cover blurb. Never again will I buy a product without first reading some reviews.

Battlerager and Giantkiller are a couple of FR prestige classes that might interest her. I've got a red-head dwarven barbarian named Angus that acts a bit like Yosemite Sam when he rages. :lol: He'll be going for one of those two when he hits mid-levels.
