    Character Sheet Released

Or he fails three saves. Which I'll grant is pretty damn unlikely. Of course, his actual HP total, including Healing Surges, is comically high. I generally like to have my PC's believing they could die at any given combat, if they are not at least a little careful. So it will be interesting...

    I miss CG

Storm-bringer showed why I dislike alignment so intensely under the old system. The old system would be.. ok.. at least, if it didn't rely on absolutism. But it does. The new system, at least, resolves some of that, by leaving 'good' and 'evil' as absolutes, apparently. Pemerton and...

    Five Alignments?

To be fair, the Emperor is truly Good, as far as I'm willing to determine it. The last 10 thousand years of war are due to the Ecclesiarchy being turds.. not actually the Emperor's fault.

    The troll art is up

Its worth noting that Trolls turning to Stone is only in, as far as I remember, The Light Fantastic. He hand-waves it by mentioning they were sunscreen, for the rest of the books.

    Five Alignments?

Discipline, at least, is required, since the destabilisation of the Immaterium. W40K makes no attempt at calling an objective Good or Evil, and I think thats a core part of the philosophy. The Imperium *is* Evil, in the eyes of many, many people, and Good in the eyes of other. I mean, nothing...

    I miss CG

Most Gods, from historical (fictional) example, and from rational extrapolation of a DND God's basic characterisations, will be more interested in generally promoting the things the like.. and quite likely to just accept the costs of it. Gods are people too, mmmkay?

    Five Alignments?

I have a confession. I forcibly stopped my self describing them as lawful evil >.> Mostly because they are evil in the short-term, and fundamentally good in the long term. Which makes it a liberalist/conservatist issue.. >.> Wanna be free but Warp-food? Or want to preserve the human race?

Does anyone have Keep on the Shadowfell in Australia?

No :( The 4 Stores I've been too in the CBD all say 'Friday, Maybe.' Apparently there was shipping issues.

    Five Alignments?

You missed the bit where Orks are plants, as well as being genetically programmed with instinctive knowledge for war techology, and originally created to be warriors for a supreme master race. The 40K fluff isn't, IMO, particular bad. A lot of the crap surrounding the Human empires is.. very...

    Five Alignments?

Regardless of the quality of 40K fluff, it is still a perfect example. Ummm.. I'm not sure where I've seen anywhere that it doesn't claim Chaos is, at least, mindlessly destructive. When you give it intellect, it can have morality. Then it becomes evil. 4e chaos, without exception so far, is...

    The troll art is up

Like the LOTR Trolls? Which, under what I consider to be common monster descriptions, currently, are Ogres? Troll/Ogre and to some extent Orc have always been troublesome in generic terms.

    Minions and Temporary HPs

Actually, it specifically states if they take damage. Temporary Hit points grant temporary Resistance All of Value X, where X is reduced by damage y each time. I have little doubt they've ruled Temporary HP act exactly like a Damage Shield... and that until that ablative hp armour is worn...

D&D 4E Why do weapons have different damage in 4e?

This. I understand the point, and don't disagree with it, in any real sense. I do, however, like the idea of weapons giving attributes, as opposed to damage. Keep the bonuses to hit from certain weapons, give others different properties, etc. But that just becomes more complicated, I think.

    Five Alignments?

Hmm, you're right, that is what it sounds like. The important part is, this guy is still a vampire that drinks blood and arranges to have people killed for his benefit. Under most sorts of mortal-time framed Good/Evil axis' this would qualify as Evil, would it not? I mean, I personally would...

    Five Alignments?

sigh* I hate alignment arguments. Unless you want to come to me and tell me you are an objectivist, the whole mess is broken. If you come and tell me you ARE an objectivist, I won't play with you. :P I've always tended to utterly scrap alignment, and all spells based off it. It serves no...

    Five Alignments?

I like that. A lot. A virtue-based alignment system. Like virtue-based ethical, kicks the crap out of this polar duality business. *sniff* I'm an immoral, unethical individual. Polyamory immediately excludes me from morality, and therefore, ethicality, eh? :D

"I add my strength to my breath." "Your breath is strong?"

Good Point! I'd forgotten it was a blast. That does make it much easier. No direction necessary.

    D&D 4E No evil gods in 4e?

*sigh* I hate alignment arguments. Unless you want to come to me and tell me you are an objectivist, the whole mess is broken. If you come and tell me you ARE an objectivist, I won't play with you. :P I've always tended to utterly scrap alignment, and all spells based off it. It serves no...

    Paladins and alignment

My group's Paladin's have an allegiance, and a duty, to their god. Divine Champions, and Divine Servants, as Hong mentioned. There is no class-wide code. My current group has a Paladin of Gruumsh. His core philosophy is Might=Right. He seeks to be a pure respresentation of all that is Gruumsh...
