How do you make a 'permanent teleportation circle'

Yay Stargates! *cough* I'm not actually sure, unfortunately.

Warrior of the Wild - encounter power

... then Sneak attack is far more powerful, as its 2d6, and combat advantage is very easy to get. I'm not sure I like the imbalance there. Anyway, I completely understand why it is being changed.

    Wizard Spells

Don't rule out Chill Strike and Touch of Enfeeblement. Its nice to have something that can target Fortitude. They are both good Solo powers, as well, with reasonable damage, and nice riders. I would base my decision on my other powers.

    Twin strike=2 magic missiles?

No. It does not let you make 2 ranged basic attacks. It would explicitly say so, if it did.

    Wizard Spells

Yes. During that Creatures turn, it will take that damage. Both actions to move it. A sustain, and then the Move. You mean if you have an AP power that increases Damage? I'm not sure.

    Wizard Spells

Forced Movement is where Cloud of Daggers is fun! But yes. Its weaksauce. Wisdom makes no sense, for a start. If the other force spells are all Int, so should Cloud of Daggers.

Playing an Evil or Chaotic Evil Palading or Cleric. Help!

Bane is going to be Radiant damage, IMO. Note that there is nothing that indicates Radiant is good. Its simply divine/astral in nature. If you are going with Vecna or Orcus, though, Necrotic would be well within flavour.

    Wizard Spells

Scorching Blast only affects 1 square. Area '1' is a one square target. As noted below, this was incorrect! Sleep's range is huge, and if you get it off before they get to you, then slowing them down is going to be almost worth it, on its own. Don't ignore Flaming Sphere, either, as it now...

Player race 'pantheon' from world to world

I don't particularly mind about new settings, but I'm inclined to agree regarding the ret-conning of new races into establised settings.

    No Familiars?

Be very aware they were removed for a reason, and bringing them back is likely to break things, in a reasonably large way, if you model them on the 3e versions.

    What is wrong with 4E?

Hmm, I'll have to grant you that Paragon Tier swap is a very poor choice. I wasn't looking at it, to be honest. On the other hand, I don't think its a sin. Its not broken.

    What is wrong with 4E?

Gnomeworks.. its not 3e. Sorry. It is, however, still multi-classing. Nor, for that matter, do they suck in any mechanical or technical sense. We've already seen plenty of builds that use them to excellent effect. You lose a small amount of your standard functionality to pick up versatility...

Am I missing something? Spellcasters and armor?

Why are you 'Gah'ing? It allows for much better flexibility of character, what your character describes himself as can be completed (should be completely, within the characters own frame of reference) totally divorced from his class, which is solely a metagame construct. You can be a smart...

    What is wrong with 4E?

.. The rules are rules. If you want pre-packaged fluff, buy a campaign setting.

Am I missing something? Spellcasters and armor?

Er.. Defenders are tanks. That's their job. They take all the blows so others don't have to.

    Healing Potions seem woeful

Seriously, Regicide, you're trolling. That's it. That's all. You're not actually discussing, you're just spouting. And your spouting without thinking, too. HP are flesh-wounds, HP are determination. HP are grit. HP are not, by raw, or by description, the ability for a character to widthstand...

Am I missing something? Spellcasters and armor?

a fighter who focuses on Dex and Int is either a Rogue or a Warlord. If you need stickiness, Multiclass to something that can mark. Its a *Defender* What role in defense does Dex and Int have? How do they, as personality and physical attributes, better allow you to defend somebody? If you...

Drawing an item: Sword and board vs. two-handed

Drop your weapon. Picking it up is minor, as is drawing it. Dropping it is free. More importantly, you can hold a weapon in your shield hand, I believe, you just can't attack with it.

KotS session 1 questions and comments

An abstraction doesn't mean they don't get hit, or injured. That acid is slowly eating through that mobs flesh. It's just hard enough it keeps fighting anyway. Anybody with any actual fighting experience will tell you that most non-fighters go down easy.. no matter how minor their injuries...
