    They showed off the Starter Set and the Forgotten Realms books, we got a lot of details on the FR books.

    The designers were talking about how in their eyes plyyets, they were finding players go totally unhinged in Mitborn scenarios, unlike the serious and epic tone Stormlight games were tending to tke...with the same rule. Theme and tone can change a lot.

    There was also a general policy at the time of making all FR products work with any Edition of previous Setting booka, so keeping stuff vague.

    If anything, the generic SRD will come down the pike sooner rther than later. The Mistborn setting coming up next year is less of a buy-in than the Stormlight Archives, particularly the later Era of the timeline which is about 1870s-1920s style pulp adventure with superpowers.

    Heck, the one thing of Kara-Tur that is definitely included in these books, the Spirit Dragon, is totally changed based on the art we've seen.

    The main reason to bring back Kara-Tur is for Asian inclusion in the Forgotten Realms.

    I mean, those events would be ~140 years in the past in 1501 DR, and after Maztivs zapping to an alternate dimension for a considerable time, so I think there is room for a revised post-colonial Latin America fantasy Setting there.

    That quote does seem to imply that...but the official copy about the Heroes Guide talks about 10 "Locales", and the Geats we know about related to the regiona include 4 of the detailed Gazateers in the AG (Background Feats for the Dalelands, Icewind Dale, Calmishan, The Moonshae Isles...and the...

    Large is in needing a well-thought out approach, yes...but large page count? Maybe not.

    We know there is some aort of Kara-Tjr material in the print books, given how prominent they have centered the Spirit Dragon on the player's book cover and in marketing. Updating Kara-Tur tastefully would be a tall gasket, maybe worthy of a significant supplement like this.
