    PCs using bluff on PCs

I know I've read that you can't use Bluff and/or Diplomacy on PCs, but I can't remember for the life of me where. I didn't see it in the 3.0 or 3.5 PHB or DMG. Calypso

    Build leading up to Archmage

Hey guys, So, my character got killed in our last session and I'm making a new (13th level) character. I decided to aim for the Archmage prestige class at 14th level. The build I chose is Human Wizard 7/Loremaster 6. Str 13, Dex 15, Con 16, Int 20 (22 with headband), Wis 12, Cha 13 Fort +10...

Listen up you little dice monkies

D20, drop 14+ will give you a uniform distribution. I think the person above was saying that 2d7-1 wouldn't give you a uniform distribution. Calypso

Supernatural and special abilities while Polymorphed?

If someone polymorphs, do they lose their Su and Sp abilities that don't rely on their natural form? For instance... do dragons lose their breath weapon? What about their natural armor bonus? Spell resistance? Or more to the point, would an efreet that polymorphed into an elf lose its fire...

Arrows to deliver touch and ranged spells?

Are there rules in place to create arrows that are enchanted with a spell and deliver the spell on a successful hit? I know there is the Spell Storing enhancement for weapons, but that isn't quite what I want. I want to be able to, for instance, craft an arrow that, on a successful hit...

Best meta-magic feats (with a house rule for instantly adding them)

Hey guys, So, my DM made a house rule that any meta-magic feat can be applied to a spell you have memorized, it just bumps out a spell of the appropriate level. So, if I cast Magic Missile and added silence spell, I'd kick out a 2nd level spell. So, with that in mind, what do you think are...

    Item creation from horseback?

Well, if I did try it, my DM would look up the spell description. He'd read it. It would say nothing about disallowing it. He would say "Okay, cool." Calypso

    Item creation from horseback?

What physical aspect of enchanting a piece of armor is there? I mean, the armor is already there, you're just putting power into it, right? I mean, that's why I discounted scribe and brew, because, obviously, you need to be brewing or writing on paper, which you can't do while being bumped...

    Large monsters without reach?

Look at page 3 here: http://www.wizards.com/d20/files/v35/CombatII.rtf Or page 131 in the PHB. Look at the table. Large creatures have a reach of 10, unless they're large, long creatures, in which case it's 5. Calypso

    Item creation from horseback?

I just reread the section on creating magic items, and it says that during your periods of rest, you can't do anything strenuous. Is this refering to during the 8 hours, or at all? For instance, lets say I'm working on an item that takes 2 days. The first day, I spend 8 hours working on it...

    Item creation from horseback?

Speaking of which, I can't seem to find where it talks about the effects of sleep deprivation. Anyone know? Also, does it affect the ability of divine spellcasters to pray for spells? Calypso

    Item creation from horseback?

So, if the party were travelling a large distance by horseback, you don't think there would be any way to get in the necessary 8 hours per day, unless I deprived myself of sleep? (which is an option, I suppose, as long as the item doesn't take too long)

    Item creation from horseback?

I'm wondering if you think you could do some item creation feats from horseback. I'm going to rule out Brew Potion and Scribe Scroll, since that just makes no sense. But what about Craft Magic Arms and Armor? It just says you can't do any strenous activity, so if you're just plodding along on...

    Rope Trick & Gelatinous Cube

Ahh, okay. I thought bags were extradimensional as well. So, could you clarify that a bit? Is it, if you put a nondimensional space in another (bag of holding in a bag of holding), or put a extra in an extra (umm.... something in the space created by rope trick), bad things happen? Calypso

    Rope Trick & Gelatinous Cube

Well, firstly, I assume you don't want your players to metagame, and neither should you. At least, not to this extreme. Throwing things at them that will challenge them is one thing. Having a monster magically show up exactly where their rope trick is might be a bit... petty. I mean, why...

I take an AOO on my ally

Aww. :( You mean I got these t-shirts made up for nothing then?

I take an AOO on my ally

Yep. Even if he wasn't affected by fear, and you decided to be a bastard, you could. You decide whether to let someone through one of your threatened squares. Calypso

    Magical long distance communication

Hmm... so someone is going to go into combat situations with a giant handhold on their face? That would just be BEGGING to get yanked out of their face. Calypso

If a flying creature is slowed........

Sorry, got distracted. On a more serious note... I would think most things would still be able to maintain enough lift to at least stay in the air. Even if they couldn't flap at all, most things could at least glide to the ground. Look at hawks... they rarely flap their wings. Calypso

If a flying creature is slowed........

Depends. Is it African or European?
