    Charging and Iajitsu

Where did you find this write up? It is close to, but does not match what is in my copy of OA. Specifically OA doesn't mention the synergy or not stacking with Sneak Attack. ~~~ Anyways, here are a few more ways to rock Iaijutsu. Older and not as good stuff Flick of the Wrist (Complete...

Help making this high Charisma Char work

Unless your DM hand-waves it, you can't start dipping until after lvl 12. But once you can. Marshal: many good auras to choose from, take whatever suits your build. I like the +cha mod to charge dmg, especially with a Crusader Paladin 2 (UA has paladins for L/E, C/E, and C/G): +cha mod to...

    warlock prestige classes

Warlock damage boosters. Mortalbane (BoVD): enhances an SLA (pretty sure Eldritch Blast counts) by +2d6 dmg 5/day, you can take this multiple times. Psionic Shot (XPH): requires you to be psionic, wild talent can handle this. +2d6 to your ranged attack. Greater Psionic Shot (XPH): as above, but...

    Monks Broken or Not

This reminds me of a house rule for firearms I had back in 02: Guns did 2d6, 2d8, or 3d6 (pistol, heavy pistol, rifle), were range-touch, had 18-20x3 crit. They were more expensive than fullplate, but ultimately that didn't matter all that much. Half the group loved them, the other half thought...

Can you use Gentle Repose on an Undead?

Jhaelen is correct in terms of raw. So ask your DM, he might be ok with it anyways. My last undead PC had a ring of gentle repose.

    Crazy PC deaths

Back in early 3e I was playing a Monk, around 6th level, with the Flying Kick feat and slippers that also doubled my charge dmg (as long as I jumped, and attacked unarmed). So my guy would routinely charge into combat, leap into the air, and land a punishing kick on my foe... often knocking them...

Pathfinder 1E Pathfinder Paladins and the Vow of Poverty: Divine Bond?

Disclaimer: I don't have PF in front of me :p My answer would be no. Divine Bond is a class feature, that does not benefit someone else you pass the "enhanced" staff to, correct? If anything it could be viewed as an improvement on the blessings from the original Vow. Then again, VoPoverty...

Let's rant! When house rules get stoopid...

That has got to be the worst House Rule I've ever seen. I couldn't play in such a campaign... I mean what is the point? A couple years ago I was DMing a mini campaign for my niece (12yr old at the time). She loved her character, had put alot of thought into backstory and build design. And I...

    Pathfinder 1E Disenchanted with Pathfinder

When it comes to rules mechanics I am picky and opinionated; Paizo wasn't likely to manage to "fix" every flaw I saw with 3.5. So when I'm thumbing through that beautiful and massive Pathfinder book I view it as a toolbox. A collected set of stuff that I can (and will) pull into my personal...

Pathfinder 1E What kind of Pathfinder Psionics would you like to see from Paizo?

I voted as 3.5 power points with changes, but I suppose I meant "other", as I see little reason not to use the 3.5 mechanics. Well, Psions and Wilders... not a fan of the other base classes. I'm currently playing a 3.5 psion in a TB/PF Eberron campaign. And then pare down the Arcane/Divine...

    Extra Swift/Immediate Action?

There is a PrC in Bo9S that lets you spend Turn Undead uses per day to fuel an extra Swift action for a round. Other than that, nothing comes to mind.

    Pathfinder 1E Pathfinder / Trailblazer / other "3.75s"

Perhaps this question deserves its own thread... How have people done Psionics in Trailblazer? Should psionicists regain power points with rest as a mage regains (some) spells? Or do you think that psionic versitility keeps the two fairly balanced as is? The trailblazer campaign I'm in is...

    Pathfinder 1E Pathfinder / Trailblazer / other "3.75s"

Has anyone updated any of the non-core base classes to PF or TB specs? For example the Warlock loses alot in TB, since the casters get most of thier spells back after a short rest.

    What setting are you using?

I have started notes for a 3.75 (Trailblazer with elements of Pathfinder and house rules) D&D campaign set in Al'Qadim.

    seeking Bard as Cheerleader ideas

Bard has been performing that role for a couple decades, in nearly every edition and setting (Dark Sun bards were assassins!). The mechanics are already there, season to taste.

    D&D 3.x [3.5e] Favorite non-Core Base Classes

Incarnum... (incarnate and totemist): Enjoyable classes, once you wrap your head around the strange new mechanics. Niether are exceptionally powerful, but can be very enjoyable. Martial Adept (yes, all three rock): I dig all three of the base classes out of Bo9S. Of those three, Swordsage is...

    Natural Spell Question

For what its worth, you can also use Natural Spell with the Spell Compendium Spell "Aspect of Wolf"... but only cause the spell says so. :p

Feats to make weapon size more significant

IIRC, Whirling Frenzy specifically calls out that it doesn't grant stack additional attacks. edit: Thats what I was thinking of. :D So you can Rage/Frenzy (prc version) but you can't Rage / Whirling Frenzy / Frenzy or anyother combonation of whacky-rage using Whirling Frenzy.

Arcane Thesis - Too Powerful or Balanced?

As a DM, I'm pretty damn liberal with what I allow in my games. And I house rule Arcane Thesis so that it only brings down the cost *once*. And it is still a rockin' good feat. I've seen it abused, and it can be scary (especially in a campaign where PCs get a feat per level... which is...
