    Looking for an assassin class

Rogue, best non-magic assassin in the game (Druid being my vote for best overall assassin in the game).

Undead PC Campaign - Horrible Idea?

Awesome link, Dagredhel! I'm sure that my players won't thank you. :D

Are there some good class or something for a ridden dragon?

Just do it. You're the DM, the rules are for you guidelines at best. "When the DM does it, its not illegal!" Perhaps if you felt the need to justify it, have it cost two feat slots or something. Its good to be the DM!

    Super Hero Classes

Angel (L/G): simply a 1/2 celestial monk (archangel would have some sort of template to boost abilities). Hulk (C/N): this guy possibly breaks tons of rules... but if you squint your eyes it all works out. Human Stony (DR) 1/2 green dragon (high Str) Werebear (more high str) Fighter X / War...

Tucker's Kobolds -- really that tough a challenge?

Baldur's Gate (2e) had a good version of "Tucker's Kobolds". Those lil bastards would TPK ya if you weren't careful.

Kill, Make Whoopie With, or Marry? 2e. 3.x, and 4e

Kill: 4e Quick and Dirty: 3e Married: 3.5 (+house rules that steal from 3e... such as several spell durations). I had alot of fun with 2e... but that ship has sailed.

    Allowing flaws midway

3e has over a thousand feat options. Most PCs have access to what... 7 feats by 19th? On one hand, I think characters can do with more feats. On the other, the Flaw system is... well... flawed. You're really just giving away a couple feat slots for minimal pain. Which you may be ok with (I...

    Brainstorming a Supers Pantheon

Very cool, Arscott (or should I say, "Tres Geek"). My DC knowledge is rather weak (compared to my Marvel). Some of these are obvious... The Gods Superman? Smacks of Batman. Clearly Wonderwoman. The Flash Green Lantern (specifically, Hal Jordan) Drawing a blank here. ??? ??? Aquaman...

Why did you quit playing 4e

The above, also 4. 4e doesn't feel like D&D to me. There are alot of good fantasy RPGs out there that I don't play... 4e is one of them.

What would it take for 4E to win over the old guard? (Forked Thread: Changeover Poll)

4e took too many wrong turns. In my mind, its not D&D. Pathfinder is the most likely heir to 3e. WotC's 4e has no chances at my wallet. I've played it, and I would play it again, and perhaps again... but eventually I'd want to "get back to D&D".

The Nature of Change (or, Understanding Edition Wars)

Thats what I'm thinking. I was initally resistant to 2e also... but that faded with one thumb through of the shiny new 3e PHB "They fixed *so* much!!!". 4e has some nice innovations (easier to DM, more static HP, etc), however its just an inferior product to 3e.

Invocations for a Far Realm-flavored Warlock

More threadnecromancy! This is a very cool thread though, so I guess its ok.

Small world, I'm doing that too. My version of Incarnate and Totemist gain some monk-like abilities.

    Warforged Construct costs?

In my homebrew campaign, "warforged" were created by a long extinct race known as the Dwer (my setting's gnomes - loosely based on Morrowind's Dwer).

What to do with 1st level orc barbarians

    I wish I could say I invented that. :D

What to do with 1st level orc barbarians

Let the dice fall where they may. Crit Happens. If the orc were a PC, he'd have a 22/26r Str. :p edit: in case the above wasn't clear enough... I don't see the problem here. On the other hand, I have a long-standing tradition of starting PCs off at level 3 (I blame Darksun).

What Is It About the Fantasy Genre Anyway?

Fantasy, Supers, Sci-Fantasy (star-wars), Sci-fi (star-trek), Modern... in that order. Generally, I'd rather play solitaire than roll up a modern character.

    Fantasy Novels and D&D

Some authors that helped shaped my D&D experiences... George R.R. Martin: Song of Ice and Fire (Eagerly awaiting book 5) Glen Cook: Black Company series L.E. Modesitt: Magic of Recluse (only read the first couple of the series) R.A. Salvatore: Drizzt saga. (Its popular to mock RA and his...

    Warforged Construct costs?

Oh, simple enough. Costs one feat slot at or after level 6... Leadership :D edit: I see that has already been mentioned. heh. But a leadership-cascade could give you an army of warforged.

    Gods of Thievery!

Its Loki in my campaigns. Certain cultures refer to him by different names (mask, vhaeraun, olidamara, etc).
