The Only Good Thing about HEROES...

Try saying that when Emma Watson comes of age. :)

    Do you like buffets?

The best buffets are usually found in high class hotels, thus well beyond my price range. :( However, on occasion me dad will have a business meeting in such places, so I never miss the chance to tag along. :D

The Only Good Thing about HEROES...

Personally I'd rather have Ali Larter. :p Not saying that Miss Panettiere is in any way repulsive. I just prefer my women with a bit more meat.

Dr Who -- kinda lame this season

I wouldn't mind seeing the Sontarans, provided they're as ruthless and as cunning as Lynx (the first Sontaran to debut in The Time Warrior). And I definitely hope the Cybermen return (not the alternate universe Cybus models, but the original Mondas natives). But please, no Space Vampires. I...

    World War Hulk

Thank you. This is one of the reasons why I'm a member of this board rather than a forum dedicated to comics such as Newsrama, Comic Book Resources, or Superherohype. You can always count on a reasoned discussion here with people whose opinions are contrary to yours. The other places I...

    World War Hulk

:\ You misread my post... I said Brubaker was more deserving of the honor of Marvel's best writer rather than Bendis. Cheers, mate.

    World War Hulk

:D No need to get wound up about it mate. I just happen to intensely dislike Bendis' writing of late and his handling of some characters in the Marvel Universe. His dialogue (which many people will defend as hip and realistic :\ ) is cheesy and forced, and nothing compared to what Alan Moore...

    Flash Gordon

You know, I could never do that. Even if there were a bunch of genre shows on air, I couldn't be bothered watching all of them cause some are bound not to be my cup of tea and therefore a waste of my time. Hell, at the time Farscape was on, I didn't even bother with Buffy or Angel, as I could...

    World War Hulk

WWH has been good so far. The story's been decent, and features some of John Romita Jr.'s best work. My only gripe is that it's been built on the foundation laid out by that hack Bendis in his Illuminati series.

    Lobster Fascination*

Anyone ever try lobster sashimi? I have, and it's wonderful eatin. :) Like any food, I think lobster needs to be cooked a certain way to be enjoyed. The Chinese have many different ways of cooking lobster that bring out the best in it.

    Flash Gordon

If that's the case then, I'm surprised SciFi has lasted this long. I honestly wouldn't mind it if the channel went under, as I've never forgiven them for canceling Farscape. Move Doctor Who to another cable channel (BBC America! :D ) and let someone else do Flash Gordon justice.

    Flash Gordon

I suggest you peruse this thread for recommendations on what Doctor episodes to check out. New and old series alike. :) Why the hell make a show that's sure to be a hit when you're not going to actively support it?! What the hell are the execs of Scifi smoking on that they take this...

    Flash Gordon

The onscreen incarnations of Flash Gordon that people are most familiar with are the old 30's movie serials starring Buster Crabbe, the late 70's Filmation cartoon, and of course, the cult classic 80's flick starring Sam Jones and featuring that killer Queen soundtrack. :) Personally, I've...

    Flash Gordon

:\ I'm betting the producers added this bit so as to ground Flash in reality. This is all wrong of course, as Flash Gordon isn't some hard scifi TV series in the vein of Taken or BSG. It's f***in space fantasy! The best that Scifi could have done was to fashion the show more in the vein of...

Jackson could still make The Hobbit

Much of the facts pertaining to this feud between New Line and Peter Jackson points to Jackson being in the right.

    Flash Gordon

Mate, you've really missed out. Many of the episodes with David Tennant as the Doctor have been just brilliant. Even if seasons 2 and 3 have not matched the overall brilliance of the season 1, that's no reason why you should drop the show.

    Flash Gordon

Judging from the previews I've seen on the net alone, I could tell this show didn't have the flash needed (pun intended :p ) to be a hit show. Memo to the producers, it ain't f***ing Flash Gordon without the bloody spaceships or that rocking Queen theme.

Jackson could still make The Hobbit

Well, it seems like Bob Shaye got smart and realized his 'blacklisting' of Peter Jackson was harming rather than helping their plans for a Hobbit movie. Even though I'm a big fan of his, I'm reasonably sure any other talented director could handle The Hobbit. But I'd still prefer it if Jackson...

    New Highlander (TV) Movie

Highlander as a whole, should have begun and ended with that wonderful (albeit flawed) movie in 1986. The subsequent sequels did nothing for me. And that much loved TV series wasn't much in my eyes (though I did like a few episodes here and there). The concept I feel has run it's course and no...

    If you like iced tea...

It's unsweetened Japanese Oolong tea for me. A cold drink of that is a perfect accompaniment when eating at a Japanese restaurant. :)
