Classic video games that I'd replay

:) Ye old games I'd happily play again: Baldur's Gate series - Still better than most RPG's out there today. Star Wars: Jedi Knight and Jedi Outcast - No lame prequel games here. These games were truly strong in the Force. :p Grim Fandango - Bar none one of the best adventure games ever...

    [The Le] comics-to-film reviews

Having access to a super advanced training facility like the Danger Room doesn't mean instant martial arts skills. Only a handful of the X-men have had real martial arts training. Characters like Wolverine, Psylocke, Kitty Pryde, Storm and Gambit. The problem I had with Mutant X is that it...

    [The Le] comics-to-film reviews

Not to mention that being a mutant on the show meant you automatically had some mad kung fu skillz! :p

    Sword and sorcery anime

BERSERK! :D Quite possibly the best fantasy manga and anime out right now. But be warned, it's a very dark and violent fantasy story with some genuinely disturbing content. Astoundingly well written and illustrated, you can't go wrong with Kentaro Miura's masterpiece.

He lost me too when gave that cheesy and lame Spider-Man tv show a 5/5 rating. :p

Doctor Who - from IDW Publishing

Full article can be found here . Well, all I have to say is it's about damn time. While I do like the comic strip published in Doctor Who Magazine, it's great that the show is finally getting it's own full blown title. While I'm not familiar with Gary Russell's work (haven't read any of his...

Iron Man Armor Revealed (not the tin version) [SPOILERS]

I'm all for superhero spy stories, provided the art and story are up to snuff. The best of the lot are probably The Nick Fury Agent of SHIELD stories by Jim Steranko. Followed by Ed Brubaker's run on Captain America. I've not read that Marvel Team Up you mentioned, but I'll take your word for it...

Iron Man Armor Revealed (not the tin version) [SPOILERS]

Wish I could I say I agree, but no. I read the first two issues of Secret War and they did nothing for me. Bendis' writing as usual left a bad taste in my mouth, but I gotta admit the art was fantastic. Civil War on the other hand, started off strong but ended so badly. I'm only hoping World...

Iron Man Armor Revealed (not the tin version) [SPOILERS]

Ten years? That's a long time mate. But then, considering how much crap is published in comics nowadays, I really can't blame you. I wholeheartedly agree. Brubaker's run on Captain America was the best thing Marvel Comics has published in years.

Iron Man Armor Revealed (not the tin version) [SPOILERS]

:D Thanks for posting this. Been wanting to see this ever since I heard all the raves it's been getting. The Mark 1 looks appropriate for something he built out of scrap. The Iron Monger looks menacing. While the classic red and gold looks sleek and impressive as hell onscreen. :) Summer 08...

BEOWULF - a Robert Zemeckis film

I like Gaiman, but having him write the screenplay hardly qualifies as a slam dunk. Some of his Sandman stories left me cold, and his screenplay on Princess Mononoke was alright, but hardly exemplary.

BEOWULF - a Robert Zemeckis film

http://www.apple.com/trailers/paramount/beowulf/ Just watched the trailer for this. WOW. I never watched The Polar Express (in full at least), because all the previews didn't suitably impress me. But this looks different, and if I may say quite fantastic. Especially liked the...

Masters of Science FIction on ABC

Okay. My bad. Apologies for that. :o Never said I'd avoid it. Just said I'd never seek it out. But if it do get to see it by chance, maybe then. And there are quite a few people in the entertainment biz that I like who are publicly known for being chumps as you say. Russell Crowe is a prime...

Another new Question: Old School Icewind Dale question

Icewind Dale is a great game. Not much of a plot, but it has a much better atmosphere, setting , and even more glorious music than that of the original Baldur's Gate. :) I would have finished Icewind Dale 2 as well, if it wasn't so damn hard.

    Will Smith Is A Legend

I like Will Smith, despite his overblown star status. And I'm cautiously looking forward to this film, even though I forsee it not adapting some of the book's darker themes and messages. I just hope the vampires (or whatever they're called here) are scary as hell.

Masters of Science FIction on ABC

And I'll take your word for it, since I've never seen the episode in question and probably never will. That still doesn't make Mcweeny less of an ass and a hypocrite.

Masters of Science FIction on ABC

Wasn't this the story written by that self important and slavish Harry Knowles lapdog Drew Mcweeny (aka Moriarty on Ain't it Cool News)? Don't know if I'll seek this show out though. I much prefer series science fiction to anthologies.

    Point me to Anime

How can you include Cowboy Bebop in that lot mate? I'd understand your problem with those other series, since they do have problems that prevent them from reaching greatness. But Bebop for the most part is brilliant, and is quite good at mixing humor and drama effectively.

Young Indiana Jones Finally Coming to DVD

Well that's good. I especially liked the episode where Indy is in New York and learned all about Jazz. :) He also met up with old army buddy Ernest Hemingway and roomed with Eliot Ness.
