BERSERK! :D Quite possibly the best fantasy manga and anime out right now. But be warned, it's a very dark and violent fantasy story with some genuinely disturbing content. Astoundingly well written and illustrated, you can't go wrong with Kentaro Miura's masterpiece. :cool:

Ten years? That's a long time mate. But then, considering how much crap is published in comics nowadays, I really can't blame you. I wholeheartedly agree. Brubaker's run on Captain America was the best thing Marvel Comics has published in years.

I like Gaiman, but having him write the screenplay hardly qualifies as a slam dunk. Some of his Sandman stories left me cold, and his screenplay on Princess Mononoke was alright, but hardly exemplary.

Icewind Dale is a great game. Not much of a plot, but it has a much better atmosphere, setting , and even more glorious music than that of the original Baldur's Gate. :) I would have finished Icewind Dale 2 as well, if it wasn't so damn hard. :mad:

I like Will Smith, despite his overblown star status. And I'm cautiously looking forward to this film, even though I forsee it not adapting some of the book's darker themes and messages. I just hope the vampires (or whatever they're called here) are scary as hell.

Wasn't this the story written by that self important and slavish Harry Knowles lapdog Drew Mcweeny (aka Moriarty on Ain't it Cool News)? Don't know if I'll seek this show out though. I much prefer series science fiction to anthologies.

How can you include Cowboy Bebop in that lot mate? I'd understand your problem with those other series, since they do have problems that prevent them from reaching greatness. But Bebop for the most part is brilliant, and is quite good at mixing humor and drama effectively.
