Of course, if you were watching this guy guzzling one potion after another, what would YOU do? I know I'd run away, and regroup for a counterattack ten minutes later.

A common element of paladin codes in my game is the rule, "Maintain the dignity of the Order". If the paladin does something undignified, especially in public, he's breaking his code, good or bad.
