[Chapter 1] Iron Lords of Jupiter

Aurthahz comes around, slowly, and drags himself over to his bed, and collapses into it in spite of the scorch-marks.

    Gunpowder in D&D

You know that makes no sense, right? It's a nifty handwave but it doesn't work. a) if manufacturing small amounts of gunpowder is cheaper than making large amounts, then you can manufacture small amounts many times and then combine them together to get a large amount. b) If wizards can make...

    New to the area: DC

I'm the listmaster for DCRPG and it warms the cockles of my heart to see that so many people have mentioned it. I'm down here in Manassas, so I don't get to most of the stores, but for my money you can't beat Game Parlor. I LIKE the fact that they shrink-wrap, it means that every book you get...

    Gunpowder in D&D

The REAL problem with gunpowder, to my mind, is the effect on architecture. I want to see soaring castles. The DnD rules in 3.0 have gone a long way to making castles useful, by making worked stone immune to many of the spells that used to make castles unworkable. Cannons make castles...

[Chapter 1] Iron Lords of Jupiter

The technology of the motorcycle is completely alien to Morguk, but he can tell that it uses electricity in some way, and that it also involves combustion, from the smell. He can't figure out the details, at this point.

    Scoop: Dungeon/Polyhedron Changes

Personally, I liked the "Flipped" format. I only used the Poly content, and I could keep them Poly-side-up. As for the "two magazines in one" format, that's because neither of them would be as successful on their own.

    Scoop: Dungeon/Polyhedron Changes

I will be buying only those issues that contain minigames, or minigame content that connects with minigames I like. In the end, I think this will be a good thing, because I won't be spending as much money for what I want.

[Chapter 1] Iron Lords of Jupiter

Alejandro finds that he will need some tools to bang the motorcycle into shape again, but he shouldn't need any spare parts. It just needs to have some dents banged out and some adjustments made here and there... he finds some tools in the nearby work area that will do the job.

[Chapter 1 - OOC] Iron Lords of Jupiter

We seem to have gotten stalled. Do you want me to jump things forward a bit?

Which popular TV sitcom family does your group most resemble?

Stevie is a friend, not a part of the MITM family. Nice try, but not quite good enough.

Classed based defense bonuses for D&D classes

I think this is VERY important.

    Skills: Aid Another

I think Disable Device would be appropriate if the device being disabled were large enough.

    Fireballs into melee?

I don't mind precise placement of fireballs when it comes to a precision of one foot at a distance of forty feet. That doesn't bother me. What bothers me is the precise placement of fireballs through arrow slits at a distance of four hundred feet. The ranged touch attack will have an AC of no...

Any core rules on extracting poison from a wyvern?

There are no core rules. You could extrapolate and say that it's "Craft (poisonmaking)" and use the wyvern's tail as the raw materials. The question would be, how many doses can you make from one wyvern's stinger? I'd argue one batch of 1d10 doses. Any venom you don't use will spoil before...

Which popular TV sitcom family does your group most resemble?

TV families are nothing like our family because TV families NEVER EVER have disabled people in them. They may not be happy, but TV families are ALWAYS ALWAYS healthy. Noone in TV families have migraines, or asthma, or allergies, or arthritis, or planar fascitis, or fibromyalgia, or trigeminal...

[Chapter 1] Iron Lords of Jupiter

The Assistant seems a bit confused. "A breach? What? What kind of... alright... well, let us know when you have it under control." Aurthahz seems to be alive... just barely.
