Pretty much "protection" money from businesses and entry fees for traders coming in with a large amount of goods is how they are doing it in my current campaign.

I DM for a group of 5 players that have now reached 7th level. I would say our average combat time is 60-90 minutes unless I throw a cakewalk at them. Overall in most 4 hour sessions we get in 2-3 combats, a skill challenge and some RP if everyone is on their game.

I do love Wonko's sheet for portability to other computers, most at work have excel but I am not going to install an app there. Also so far Wonko's seems to offer greater ability to put in custom work.

True there is more there I have just not taken the plunge yet as I am still put out by the lack of paper magazines. I am sure I will get over it soon;) Especially if the reviews of the character builder keep coming back positive.
