I have not seen a crusader in action, how much healing can they handle for the party?

The Crusader from Bo9S looks interesting and there is a prestige class related to Wee-Jas for them in the same book I believe. I think our DM mentioned there is a temple to her in SC. Thanks for all the ideas, keep'em coming.

Pardon the question but what has Steve Kenson done in fantasy RPGs? I know he did some Shadowrun novels and Mutants and Masterminds but I am unfamiliar with what else.

I will say that outside the range of fireball has really made a difference for casters I have run.

With the relative nerfing of lightning bolt, IMO, in 3.5 I have to say Fireball has been a better choice for my mages. Energy substitution is a big help to any mage and makes up for the fire immunity issue. Of course then you don't get to hear the "lightingboltlightnigboltlightingbolt" jokes.
