These are 1E modules (with slight jargon and name changes to avoid legal problems). I have run the "Plantmaster" module, and own the "Maze" modules. Good adventures IMO.

I'm not sure that I'd agree. In any event, one can cross two very different things and still get a hybrid - at least in the world of games.

I'm a player in a Spelljammer PBEM game. Sort of hybrid AD&D 2E/C&C rules.

The highest level that anyone has ever attained in my AD&D 1 game is 15th - but the camapign isn't over yet. IME, usually games ended because real life intervened (people graduated/got a new job/joined the military/left the military/moved etc) rather than at any set level.

I'd support a re-release of the original AD&D by WotC. I'd also welcome a cure for all forms of cancer, the development of cold fusion, and a visitation from wise, benevolent aliens. I consider all 4 of the above to be approximately equally likely. ;)

I'm not very familiar with E6, so I could be totally off base, but couldn't an army dispatch some of these threats? E.g., suppose the cloud giant you mentioned was facing 100 infantry and 100 archers. The infantry engage while the archers shoot. The archers hit the giant on a 20, right? So 5...
