I just downloaded and tried the android app. However, it seems that it is partly machine translated to my local language (Swedish), making some things incomprehensible in settings and generally leaving a bad impression. I can't find any language options. Is there any way to make the app use...
"Stances" is something I have explicitly asked for in several surveys regarding the Fighter. Thanks for pointing out the similarity! Hopefully I remember to put it in the survey.
An addition to using VTTs: While Skype probably works well enough it could also be worth looking into other services such as Discord, Hangout or Facetime.
My group is three sessions in playing Storm King's Thunder via Roll20. We started with the level 1-5 part, and so far it seems great! I also ran the entire starter set adventure (then I was DM, now I'm a player) and would say that A great upheaval seems better.
If you do feel that you can...
Regarding the art from the guide: on http://dndwizards.tumblr.com/ they have 2-3 lines of text about the monsters depticted (Ki-rin, Pit master, Flail snail and Death Kiss).
A couple of comments on Tolkien races, playable orcs and half-orcs: it seems that Tolkien also introduced half-orcs and...
I would expect that even Int 1 allows for avoiding damage. Some exceptions for creatures that have enough hit points that they might have learned to ignore damage.

If I read this correctly we would end up with 3 books for players and no more rules ever needed? I'm not sure I think it's a good idea for WotC to do it, but I would totally buy the book and like it. Just not sure if I would expect to see anything else I would want to buy from WotC after that...
I would regard spells exceeding the PHB to be magic items. Since they require spending gold to learn it's not a perfect comparison, but if I gave the wizard extra spells I would give the fighter a magic weapon. It might just be a magic [fighter's preferred weapon type] with one minor property...
Personally I would remove a little more text, as shown below. Also, I would probably check the darkness rules and allow a few more things as dim light rather than darkness. Most nights with a clear sky should probably be dim light.
Low Light Vision. Accustomed to twilit forests and the night...
Swap to Low-light (all dim light is now bright, but darkness is darkness). Still need those torches or light cantrips, but some get more use out of them than others. Probably just a "make better use of the light that exists", so no hard range limit.
I would consider letting dwarves keep the...
My group tends to like high powered characters, so I believe a magic item per character can work. However, at level 1 I would only use minor properties, possibly using suggestions in SCAG for the inheritor background about increasing the power later. Haven't rechecked SCAG, so I might imagine...
Based on Erin M Evans "Lesser Evils" the price of portal travel from Waterdeep to Suzail in 1478 DR with a then new-made portal was in the range of 10-25 gp per person. The alternative would be a long and risky travel by land (about 3 or 4 times the distance between Neverwinter and Waterdeep)...
I don't know if there is a list of circles (if there is I would ask about it on Candlekeep rather than ENworld). The ones I've heard about are from the Brimstone Angels saga, where there is a pair of circles used for commercial travel between Waterdeep and Suzail (I think; one of the cormyrean...
From PHB page 164 (multiclassing rules): "Similarly, the warlock's eldritch invocation Thirsting Blade doesn't give you additional attacks if you also have Extra Attack." No need to check the wording of the individual features.
And I agree with the interpretation that invocations that use spell...
I'm currently running LMoP for my group. While we are fairly experienced with the rules it is the first time we use a published adventure and it is different to our typical play style in other campaigns.
What I can say is that level 1 can be very deadly (we had the group's first character death...
I have no experience playing such a character (despite it being good charop in my group's main campaign), but my first thoughts go to rogue with a SCAG subclass. Mastermind is probably made to work like what you want, and the swashbuckler can at some level make others charmed just like that.
If...
The boost of e.g. Booming Blade for rogues (I assume that is what we are discussing) is not as large when it costs a second chance at sneak attack. For a Swashbuckler it could be very neat to use booming blade. On a hit the rogue can deal a lot of damage and then run away to force the enemy to...
