S2: War in Vastermarch - Completed

A nondescript halfling exits the tavern and zips away. A minute or so later, two short warriors walk out of the tavern whispering about "lucrative business opportunities" and "risk-profit ratios". The first is Ogrin, a halfling scoundrel; the second is Rasereit Vundinn, a dwarven barbarian, last...

S2: War in Vastermarch - Completed

OOC: My apologies. As I wrote in a private message to Rae, the past few months has been kind of hectic. It is just beginning to wind down a bit. I definitely will be able to post regularly and have added a subscription to this thread which simplifies things for me as I'll get a reminder in my...

City of Orussus, The Red Dragon Inn X

As Razh nudges Ogrin, he wakes up from the table he's slumped over. "Wha!? Who! Yerr nuthin' but a... Oh. Hi Razh. How did we end up here? Last thing I remember, ýou were armwrestling... perhaps that was here? Ay ay ay... my head hurts..."

    Recruiting S2: Orc War

Yeah, as Rae wrote, Ogrin (CN halfling Fighter/Rogue 5) is interested. He cannot have Razh to go off alone now, would he? :-) A tie-in idea: Ogrin has a ship (keelboat) and could be doing a supply run up there, perhaps ferrying the others. Might be hard to get Razh on a ship, though. :-)

City of Orussus, The Red Dragon Inn X

Ogrin saunters in to the Red Dragon, armor polished and gleaming. Seeing Joe, he grins and says "Honey, I'm home!" Quickly jumping up on a nearby table, the agile halfling announces himself as "Ogrin, at your service" and bows to his audience. He spots friends like Troi and Razh and heads over...

    Niobe's Dilemma (Manzanita Judging)

Ogrin trusts Razh to hold on to any excess money until they meet again. And should they be accidentally spent, they're sure to come to good use.

    Niobe's Dilemma (Manzanita Judging)

OOC: Ogrin would vote for dividing all the money now, as anything else would mean he's stuck with all the other guys for three weeks or whatever that wagon took :-) OOC2: I believe Ogrin asked for a Letter of commendation before, does he receive it? As the carriage finally comes to a stop in...

    Niobe's Dilemma (Manzanita Judging)

OOC: Sorry about the OOC's, I just figured we might take the time while you were gone to finalize the treasure splitting. This will be my last for a while. :) Ogrins intention, after receiving his part of the treasure, is to go back to town a few hours to order new clothes for the coronation...

    Niobe's Dilemma (Manzanita Judging)

OOC: Sorry, but your calculations are not correct. Nonmagical stuff total: 7534gp 2sp 7cp Magical stuff total: 2330gp Reward: 40000 I'd assume we share the treasure by 4 (those participating in that combat) and the reward by 5, which would give Wil, Ogrin and Rasereit 10466gp, Lasair...

    Niobe's Dilemma (Manzanita Judging)

    General Discussion Thread X

I'd probably ask the sage about that one. I think Rae's option C sounds like a logical explanation to why it costs 3000 instead of 1000.

    Niobe's Dilemma (Manzanita Judging)

OOC: Ah, yes, I read that a bit too quickly. I'd say that adds up to another 1567gp* for everyone except Lasair, then. Correct? *) plus a handful of silvers and coppers, which undoubtedly will be spent on refreshments while selling... since I'm not going to bother calculating it :)

    Niobe's Dilemma (Manzanita Judging)

OOC: Rystil, the calculations above did not include the other non-magical stuff and the bag of gold we found, right? If so, there should even be another six to seven thousand gold left to share. Listing is here

    Niobe's Dilemma (Manzanita Judging)

At least it wasn't the guys father, Ogrin thinks to himself. While Ogrin can understand the conflicting emotions of the return of Niobe and the imminent death of his father, Ogrin thinks lord Pician sounds a bit callous talking about his own coronation before the father is already dead. I just...

    Niobe's Dilemma (Manzanita Judging)

"Thank you, lord Pician. We may all need some rest and recuperation after this ordeal. We have the written confession of one of the kidnappers henchmen, naming one Zachary, now deceased, and one Zidaniel, still at large, as the main culprits behind Niobe's abduction. Troi may know more about...

    Niobe's Dilemma (Manzanita Judging)

"Captain, it seems more of our band is in a bad shape. Could you send for a healer, for their wounds seem more than we can handle. "Does anyone recognize any one of these people?" OOC: I'll be out travelling for much of this week. Will be posting when I can.

    Niobe's Dilemma (Manzanita Judging)

Ogrin just stares at Lasair, but realises she must have some strange aversion to touching other people as she doesn't just go ahead and do it herself. "Terrific idea", he mutters as he unsheaths his dagger and moves to cut the rope, preferrably without touching it.

    Niobe's Dilemma (Manzanita Judging)

Ogrin moves in, and glances back at the door, to see if it possibly was locked from the inside. He then moves towards the bound woman and gently tries waking her. "My lady, please do not be alarmed. You are safe."

    Niobe's Dilemma (Manzanita Judging)

OOC: My apologies, I've been travelling from the US to Europe since thursday - Didn't think to note it since action has been pretty slow before. Just my luck I guess. :-) Ogrin opens his eyes to see Razh collapse, his head hitting the floor with a thud. His strength returns as Wil channels more...
