i buy most of mine at conventions. but prefer to buy them at whatever method is cheapest, be it brick and mortar, online, garage sale, or auction. i'm not against dumpster diving either.

i'm in a similar situation. most of it is D&D and all the stripes i include with that from Tunnels & Trolls to Pathfinder. as well as Metamorphosis Alpha/Gamma World. Top Secret, Buck Rogers, Freedom in the Galaxy, blah blah blah. being an Ennies judge also added even tho i gave most of it away

we play new stuff all the time. but we have a regular game too. the new stuff fits in when schedules conflict and not everyone can make it. or when we have a long weekend and we want to play new stuff.

it terms of the way i play or referee the game. anything that is not a PC is a monster. always have always will. that 5th lvl NPC who did blank for you is a monster. so yes. monsters have class lvls too.
