Pinpointing an opponent, enough to target a spell?

If I can pinpoint an invisible opponent either through a skill (listen) or through a feat such as Hear the Unseen, is that enough to target the invisible opponent so I can cast a range spell on him such as magic missile? Thanks guys!

Once more unto the breach...We few, we happy few, we band of brothers!

Ok, here is the Frankenspeech I've molded out of the pieces of other competent writers: Warriors of Damara, You have long seen what tyrants can bring to the world. You have seen what injustice they spread, And you have seen their evil in your own homeland. My homeland. We fight this day so that...

Once more unto the breach...We few, we happy few, we band of brothers!

Lol, I like it, but not quite fitting. The speech is to be given by a paladin of Torm before an attack on orc and ogre horde led by the Cult of the Dragon (FR setting stuff).

Just seems that I have kept repeating that was not the issue, but you have an excellent point.

Once more unto the breach...We few, we happy few, we band of brothers!

This weekend I will be DM'ng a war in my game, and I'm looking for the ally general to make an inspiring speech. I myself am an atrocious writer, so I'm looking for something to plagiarize that isn't in the common vernacular and easily recognized. It could be something as simple as a few lines...

    Polymorph and Vow of Poverty...

My original post: Now, someone please explain how this has anything to do with the above post: When the heck, even once, did I EVER say you lose the the vow? When did I say, you're no longer restricted by it. WHY was that even brought up? People, please READ the post before you comment on it...

TSR paid $1,000,000 for the Dragonlance logo? (New: Response from the authors)

Correct, but when a large company changes logos, they want to do market research, etc to make sure the new brand image is welcome. AT&T, to keep up with the example, just changed their corporate ID. They could have easily spent a million on that logo.

TSR paid $1,000,000 for the Dragonlance logo? (New: Response from the authors)

Thanks :). I had to find out... it's not too often that two interests come together this way, D&D and logos, lol.

TSR paid $1,000,000 for the Dragonlance logo? (New: Response from the authors)

Interesting news, I have a response from both Margaret Weis and Tracky Hickman: First she forwarded an email to Tracy (I’ve removed all the headers for their privacy, just kept the body text): Tracy replied with the following email to Margaret: And finally, Margaret's email to me So...

TSR paid $1,000,000 for the Dragonlance logo? (New: Response from the authors)

Really? I wonder if it's a regional thing since that's actually one topic they never taught me in college (I went to LSU). Anyway, I lucked out and got a job at NASA. I do posters, cartoons, logos, patches, etc. We have a surprising amount of creative freedom, something I always appreciate.

    Polymorph and Vow of Poverty...

The question at hand IS what powers does he or she maintain while polymorphed/shapechanged, not if the vow is maintained or loopholed. I'm sensing a strong agenda on what people feel this thread should be about... and it has little to do with what it actually is.

TSR paid $1,000,000 for the Dragonlance logo? (New: Response from the authors)

Trust me, as a specialist in logo design, I can tell you it's beyond awful. Just for startes, a logo needs to be simple and easy to read; easily reproduced in nearly any media, be it on paper, pens, or coffee mugs; able to maintain its integrety (making copies of copies of copies); clear in...

TSR paid $1,000,000 for the Dragonlance logo? (New: Response from the authors)

Don't underestimate the power of a well-designed logo. If you are a large corporation like Nike (which as I recall only paid $170 for their logo, lol) or AT&T (designed by the late, great Saul Bass), that logo is worth much more than one million dollars. The easy reproduction and recognizability...

    Polymorph and Vow of Poverty...

I have two issues with this... 1) I see no reason why VoP should break the rules. It uses a clearly defined set of parameters that work within the 3rd edition system. Why should it be an exemption to the rules? You can struggle with the "spirit" of it all day, but it's of little relevance. The...
