ZEITGEIST Layout question for ZEITGEIST - print or screen primary?

Despite getting my Zeitgeist online, I almost exclusively like to read it in print. I might run the adventure from my screen copy (not sure) to save desk space, but I've never enjoyed reading text on a computer screen.

    Look what I have!

While flipping through the Players Guide and Campaign Guide a minute ago, I noticed the references to the PHB, DMG, MM, PHB2, MM2 and AV on the opening pages. Is that a GSL requirement?

    Shifter character background

Maybe the leaders in Ber fear Risur's progress, particularly since the Bruse has become so friendly with Danor. Or maybe they want a scout in the Risuri seat of industry so that they have firsthand information of Flint's technological achievements (or even to learn the lay of the city ahead of...

    9000 Downloads!

I've seen Island at the Axis of the World, but other than that I'm the same as everyone else - worse in fact than those who playtested The Dying Skyseer. My next session is scheduled for next weekend, so we're really hoping Island is out by then (or that Morrus will give me a dispensation to run...

    9000 Downloads!

Remember that comment I made earlier about adventure 2 struggling to live up to adventure 1? I just went back through the campaign guide and have to say that I'm amazed by every single adventure in the heroic tier. This is going to be so much fun!

    Tiefling Character Background

Alternatively, the PC could be in exile for speaking out against the Yerasol Wars or the ruling Jierre family. We know from the players guide that there is at least one tiefling working on Risuri technology so maybe the PC is accepted into the RHC for his insight into Danoran interests.

I've seen adveture 1 too, and second everything Gideonpepys says. In fact, adventure one is so chock-full of awesome that I'm not sure that adventure 2 can compare

Gears of Revolution: Notes on my campaign

As good a reason as I can think of. Young'uns these days, always expecting to win! A lot of credit for the idea has to go to my old DM (now my player Mwuhaha ), who came across DM Samuel's podcast and thought it was a cool way of starting a campaign. I don't necessarily have a...

Gears of Revolution: Notes on my campaign

To be honest, after what I've seen in the campaign guide I'm hesitant to suggest anything at all. What you've come up with already is 9000 ;) times beter than what I had imagined based on the early teasers about the AP. The storyline revolving around Borne is top-notch, and I can't wait to see...

Gears of Revolution: Notes on my campaign

Session 0 (Story Hour updated) Session 0 went ahead as planned, and I even had a chance to put together that combat after all. The ad lib session went incredibly well (by my reckoning), and we ended up with a very realistic-feeling group. I think the impromptu nature of the questions...

Gears of Revolution: A Zeitgeist campaign

Session 0 "Things change as they grow, and Flint is no exception. The city ain't nothing like it was 30 years ago. Just look at Parity Lake. Used to be we swam in it during the heat of summer, but now it ain't fit for fish. Now the area's only fit for factories, slums, and other - nastier -...

Gears of Revolution: Notes on my campaign

The best laid plans... I'm short one PC for tonight's game (I have a full complement of players but one of them hasn't settled his character), so I probably won't be able to run a combat session tonight. I'm still going to run with the ad lib session, and I'm still going to use a Drakran...

    The Campaign Guide is here!

I agree. The Plot isn't what I expected, but it's going to make for one hell of a campaign! Oh, for a DMs only thread where we didn't have to worry about spoilers. It's maddening to not be able to openly discuss this :D

    Welcome to the R.N.S. Coaltongue!

What's the long grey thing on the gun and berth decks? Is it a ramp? And, as previously mentioned, the capacitor and brand is one of the coolest things about the AP so far. It makes me smile just thinking about it.

Gears of Revolution: Notes on my campaign

Don't feel uncreative, feel "very good at foreshadowing". I'm desperate to do something with the Ragman, because it's such a cool idea, but i went with Gale because it would be easier to have her escape convincingly. You're right though. I don't want to be repetitive, so I might use a Drakran...

Gears of Revolution: Notes on my campaign

My group is hoping to kick off its Zeitgeist campaign this weekend. I was one of the lucky few to see Island at the Axis of the World before its official publication date, but I have refused all attempts to persuade me to run it early or reveal its contents :D Instead we plan to kick things...

Thank Goodness: Moving away from the Delve format

This is of some concern to me an an online DM, because it raises the spectre that I won't be able to use the printed maps for my game (because the resolution is too low to allow it to be magnified to usable size).

    Whoa there, Sparky!

I'm guessing it means Dragon magazine issues 179 and 182.

    Whoa there, Sparky!

Ta da! Avenger, Invoker, Druid, Sorceror and Swordmage seems to be streets in front of the other classes.
