I think I'd be most pleased with the interpretation: Dominate = puppet. 1st Kiss = Charmed. Followup = Interpose yourself between succubus and attacks that target her.

The whole succubus entry, in my opinion, will hinge on whether or not you are considered CHARMED in greater sense than just throwing yourself in front of attacks when she's right up on you. If there's a general Charmed condition to go along with it then it could work like older versions of...

That would be interesting, though even more unclear on the writer's part. I read it as the succubus has to HIT to land her Kiss, then has to HIT again, vs. Will, to get the ability to work.

The Dominate lets her move the target in for the Kiss, but then it's gone next round. And she isn't still using Dominate because she is using her Melee attack, corrupting touch.

If they don't have a power active or an ability for it, then I don't think they can. Unless it's an option in the Combat chapter of the PHB, which it might be considering how many creatures use some variant of the ability.

I think it's great. I would have preferred that this start right after the DnDXP, but better late than never. I'm just happy that we have some structured step up in information. I know that I'm looking forward to the PHB and DMG excerpts.
