The major recommends a female to be the leader of the MACOs after he dies... I think (not positive) that it's the female that is wounded in the Hoshi-Resque mision. So, there's no way she could go on the next mission. Plus, there's no female in the scene when Malcom askes for volunteers...

Is the series drawn by the same person(s) that did the movie? I liked the movie's visual style. How do visuals in the series compare? I enjoyed the movie, but it left me wanting more... so I guess I will probably end up picking up the series just to be satisfied :)
