I get AoO rules, I like them, I'm fine with them. The strip made me laugh.

D&D - Thinking outside of the box

Everyone has a point of view and a certain way they like doing things. Perfectly fine with me, my ego is not so huge that I think everyone should agree with me. That and the original intent of the thread was to discuss (hence the reason for "discuss" being the only thing in the thread), not "see...

    d5 uses?

If I have 5 players at the table and I don't want to single someone out, I'll roll a random d5 to see who's going to "get it".

Say if I'm a paladin can I get a demon cohort?

Most likely due to scripture. Fallen angels can't be redeemed even if they wanted too, and in the end will face judgement with everyone else. So in the OP it was more of a "what if" question, and where I can think of a couple extraordinary situations where it could be tried (nothing is...

Ever use Sleestaks in your campaign?

Unless your gaming group is in their mid 30's they probably wouldn't get it. If they are they should be ashamed of themselves. It would have been the first thing to pop into mind for me.

Say if I'm a paladin can I get a demon cohort?

I honestly think the first thing a paladin should do is try his darndest to destroy a demon. If by some weird rare special circumstance there is some remote possibility that the paladin has to work with this demon (there can be such a thing, plot wise) he is going to try to turn it. It's just...

Say if I'm a paladin can I get a demon cohort?

I would think they should lose the current spells they can cast. However the magical residue left over could morph into the ability to cast some divine [good] spells.

Say if I'm a paladin can I get a demon cohort?

One of my players in an old campaign of mine (a paladin) reformed a kobold by strapping him to the front of his sheild while fighting an athac. I had no choice but to let him keep him.
